        Located in Cullman, Ala., the Cullman County Sheriff's Office is a full-service law enforcement agency that protects, preserves and safeguards the civil rights of citizens. It operates a jail that provides a secure and humane confinement facility to convicted prisoners and detainees in pending trial status. The Cullman County Sheriff's Office also maintains a communication center that features a multichannel system and provides communication services for police, fire and emergency medical assistance. The sheriff s office also supports a Special Response Team (S.R.T.) that deals with dangerous situations, including high-risk warrant arrests and explosive devices, as well as heavily armed criminals and barricaded persons. In addition, the Cullman County Sheriff's Office has narcotics, patrol and investigation divisions.
