Went there for an eye exam last year. I purchased some REALLY nice glasses and contacts. Blew about $450 in there. After my exam and purchase, I asked for my eye test results and PD (pupilairy distance) because my employer requires safety glasses and they will not allow me to wear my daily glasses with side shields. Also, since my employer is construct on the glasses, they provide me with a free pair every year, but my prescription has to be up to date. The ladies behind the desk refused to give me my exam results because it was against their policy. Basically they didn't want me to take my prescription to a competitor. I explained my situation and that I had just spent almost 500 on glasses and contacts with them. Didn't matter. I walked to the back and grabbed the optometrist. He gave me my prescription so I could take it to work. That's like a doctor giving you a physical and not giving you your test results because he's afraid you'll use another pharmacy besides the one in his office! That's CRAZY! THOSE ARE MY MEDICAL RECORDS! I'll never set foot into Marx in Cullman again!
They suck customer service on a warrenty bad period I have payed 500.00 dollar for a pair of glasses that suck .
I have used Marx for years but my most recent visit was extremely unpleasant due to incompetency from office staff. Especially the girl at the front desk who came up behind me, put her hand on my arm and applied slight pressure to turn me around to tell me the mistakes made were not hers. That was extremely inappropriate behavior although the manager Goldie disagreed with my assessment of that action. A mistake was made causing more expensive contacts to be ordered and paid for. When no one called on Friday when the contacts were supposed to be in I called and was told that no contacts were ordered. The manager Goldie finally called and explained that the contacts were not ordered because someone reviewed the file and found the mistake. I said ok, but no one corrected the mistake or called to inform me of the mistake? Goldie said they were just about to call me. Sure they were. Although I will miss the optometrist greatly I cannot deal with the office personnel's incompetence and apathy.
