Gupta Medical Clinic

I needed to find a new Dr and thought I would try Dr. Gupta in CL. My first visit for a physical was very good, thorough, so I thought. Before Christmas I got sick, went in and he diagnosed me with strep. Gave me an antibiotic, z-pac 5 days which if I had known that I would have said to give me something else, those never get rid of anything for me. So I started to get better, then Christmas Eve came and I was so unbelievably sick, running a fever, chills, etc. Christmas Day I knew nobody would be in the office but I needed an antibiotic called in to pick up. Called the office and took forever talking to the woman to get her to contact the Dr on call. Finally, Dr Gupta called me back, told me the antibiotic I took for 5 days was still working, I didn't need anything else! You have to be kidding. He said it lasts for 10 days and it was my 9th day and I had gotten better and then was so sick I knew I needed a stronger antibiotic. He could not call in anything for me which I found ridiculous. He told me, after 15 minutes going round and round, that I could call in the morning and see the other Dr that would be in. I said okay and hung up. The next morning I called the office to get in, still running a fever, the woman told me they are booked up, I could come in the next Monday!! I told her, you have got to be kidding, I told her I talked to Dr Gupta, he assured me I could get in, was so sick and she would not do a thing. I then had to go to the urgent care and pay a $50 co-pay, I had no choice. They said I had strep and needed to be treated with a strong antibiotic, not a z-pac for strep. I ran a fever for 6 days straight and missed so much work and the holidays were ruined for me. Will never step foot in that office again and would not recommend anyone to. Looking for a new Dr again, one that cares about their patients and treats them accordingly.
