I'm so dissatisfied because y'all let a evil person open an account in my damn name. Now I have to fight to straighten up my account and credit report because of this person. I don't understand why I got to send my important things to y'all but y'all didn't asked that female no type of prove that she is the real me.
Others have said it much better than I could. But overall I was unimpressed with their service. Made multiple calls asking for information to make a loan payment and was told don't worry if it is a few days late since they didn't send the paperwork. Then they started calling me asking where the payment is. And they need an "approval" for loan payoffs. WTH? Won't use their services again.

SO MANY OTHER credit unions or banks WITHOUT FEES. Telhio charges MORE FEES than the worst bank you know. I'm finished - today I received an account alert after I debit charged in store this am. I get home and immediately transfer $$ to cover shortage (MIND YOU I HAVE $$$$$THOUSANDS IN MY SAVINGS ACCOUNT) SO THEY flipped TWO internet payments to after my debit charge so they could charge me $35 2x. Those 2 payments were already listed as paid in my account when I transferred $$ I will pursue this through every regulatory agency and beyond until I get my account credited. YEARS AGO they would transfer $$ from savings to checking automatically. STAY AWAY SOOOO MANY OTHER BETTER CHOICES for your banking - that WANT your business
Making change at Georgesville Rd BankI'm 72 years old and needed change for a $20 dollar bill. So I thought I would stop at this Huntington Bank on Georgesville Rd branch. I walked in and ask the lady teller for change. The first thing out of her mouth are you a member? No, I said, well then we can not make change. I said that I never heard of such a thing. Both tellers just looked at me and smiled. I was very upset and apparently my face showed it. I was about to walk out the door when the door appeared to be locked shut? I looked at them and they just gave a grin as to say go. I will never go to a Huntington bank that has very poor customer service. I then went to a PNC bank and they didn't ask if I was a member and promptly gave me change.
I think it is interesting that the ONLY positive review of this terrible company has come from one of its former employees. I imagine this is because it must be wonderful to work for a place that does not push its employees to take accountability for their mistakes, their poor customer service or the poor business practices of their employer. I have had nothing but neutral and negative experiences with this credit union over several years and would not recommend this credit union to anyone. Unless you enjoy poor customer service, hidden fees, holds placed on deposited checks for no reason depending on which teller you encounter and a host of other issues, just avoid this credit union all together and go anywhere else for better service.
This company is so far behind in times it;s not even funny. Their processing times is back in the 80's. Customer service is poor. Spoke to Kelly on the phone in customer service and she is very rude. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!
HORRIBLE - STAY AWAY.One star is honestly far too much after ALL of the issues I have experienced in 10 years of banking with them. The newest issue you ask? I have thousands of dollars in my account and cannot access ANY of it at the very earliest until Monday because of their horrible policies and hours. My card was declined for several small purchases- including for groceries. Do not trust your money in this credit union. Their policies are horrible and should you experience any issues with your account, just forget trying to get anyone on the phone to resolve them anytime after 1pm on Saturday. I also bank with CS Bank which is by far and beyond better. I should have closed my account with this awful institution years ago.
This branch of JP Morgan Chase has the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I went there simply to cash a check and get a cashiers check, since there is not a local branch of my bank within 2 hours, and was there for 2 hours and walked out empty handed. After being told that I could get a cashiers check by one woman I was then transferred to another woman who told me it was not possible. Then was bullied into trying to open an account with them by two people. After being there for two hours and feeling very frustrated and having my checks held from me I simply asked to have them cashed so I could leave. They denied my request since I was not opening an account with them and I walked out empty handed wasting two hours of my life. If I could give them negative stars I would. Worst experience with customer service I have ever had.
This bank is from the dark ages. I have a Huntington account as well, and I find I am constantly comparing Telhio to Huntington and Huntington wins every time. I wanted to bank through Telhio because I wanted to support the idea of a credit union that was local, but I just can't get over how backward Telhio is compared to Huntington- it like banking for old people. My mother in law might like banking there and she'd probably understand how they do things better than me, but I'm used to more modern, efficient systems like Huntington. Examples------Bill Pay:It takes forever to pay bills because they mail everything. The few options to set up epay on bills are tedious and I gave up on trying to set up my account to epay my credit card bill- it just wasn't worth it. Paying bills by mail through Telhio can take up to a week. Doesn't seem worth it if you your bill is due at a certain time, does it? If you do set up snail mail payments through them, they don't automatically take the money out of your account. It only comes out when they mail the bill a week later. At Huntington, they take it out of your account right away, even if they have to snail mail a bill. This is good because then you don't use that money- it is dedicated to paying that bill. I found out the hard way that with Telhio this isn't the case.Online access: It is more regulated than the Pentagon. It seems ridiculous for a small local credit union to have more online restrictions than Huntington. Are they too cheap to pay for security measures on their end, so they pass it off to us- making us answer a million odd security questions to just see the balance on our account? It's like they don't really think you want to use online banking, so they make it as difficult as possible to use. Huntington is so easy. I don't want to like Huntington better, but it is better.Transfers: We have an income source come in through a savings account, but we often need to transfer money from the savings to checking to use it the money out and about on the town. With Huntington, you can connect your checking and savings accounts. One will dip into the other with ease. With Telhio, we were informed that isn't possible. We have to physically get online and transfer the money (refer back to online access here). However, my husband found out the hard way at the grocery store when he realized he hadn't transferred money from the savings to the checking. He tried to do the transfer on his smart phone and realized that he was blocked from doing so because we had exceeded our number of transfers for the month. He had to wait until Monday, then go in and speak with the bank people personally to make that transfer. And- we didn't get groceries. He had to tell the people at the grocery store that he couldn't pay for them. Even though we had hundreds of dollars sitting in our savings account, we had no way to access that money until Monday. Our money! Good thing my husband has more of a flexible schedule, my working hours and demanding schedule would not allow me to go in to speak with anyone at Telhio- they close before I get off work! Huntington has a branch in the Brewery district that is open until 7!Overall ease of use: We knew credit unions were inconvenient, but wow (see transfers above) when it is YOUR money and you can't check your balance easily (see online banking above) and can't transfer money easily- why are you at that bank? Forget the bank machine issues and even their awful hours- it's your money and you can't do anything with it? That's how they banked in the 1950s. I wanted to support local banks that I "own," but I live in a modern world. I'm too busy for this. It hurts to say this, but Huntington will get my business from now on...
