My grandson and I test drove a 2010 Nissan on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016. In order to obtain insurance on the vehicle, I left a check for a $500 deposit with the owner, Sam Fava, and was to take possession of the car on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016. I got a cashier's check from my credit union on Thursday and went with my grandson to get the car at Texas Autoplex. After giving the sales manager the check and signing the paperwork, we went with the sales manager to get the car. Upon locating the vehicle, it was determined that the battery was dead and the car would not start. Since my car was parked close to the Nissan, I volunteered to use my car to jump-start the Nissan. The Nissan started easily but when it started, white smoke poured from the front and back of the car. My heart dropped since I had just turned over a $6200 cashier's check and signed paperwork indicating there was no warranty. We were told that the dealership would have the car checked and notify us of the status. We were also told that all the money (including the deposit) would be returned if necessary. After numerous calls by my husband to the dealership on Friday, Sept. 30, he was finally able to speak to the sales manager and was told that they would not sale us that vehicle and that someone could come get the cashier's check. They were not able to return the deposit at that time because the owner was out of town and he would be the person who would return that deposit. My husband and I both have called multiple times and spoken to Sam regarding the return of my deposit. Due to health issues, we have not been able to go to the dealership to get my deposit back. I spoke with Sam on Monday, October 31, 2016 to request again that he mail that deposit to me and was told it would be in the mail shortly. A text from Sam on Nov. 7 indicated that I would have the refund by "tomorrow" (that would have been November 8). I have still not received the refund of my deposit. I realize the deposit is to guarantee that the purchaser does intend to purchase the vehicle and is not returnable in case the purchaser decides against the purchase. In this case however, I think the deposit should be returned. I have sent a complaint form to TX DMV. I originally was very impressed with this dealership (no pressure to purchase the vehicle or extended warranty) but would definitely not do business with them in the future. December 27: finally got deposit back so will raise review to 2 stars

The people here went above and beyond to help me get the car I wanted. I will begin with the disclaimer that I really hate car dealerships. I have been misled, misinformed, and generally treated poorly on almost every lot that I have entered. The list of offenses is long and diverse. So when I called Renee, I did it with trepidation. He greeted me with a very friendly and open demeanor, asked me a few questions, and immediately got me out for a test drive of the exact car that I came to see. He was knowledgeable.. he knew the car inside & out, and he educated me on the car's features while we were driving. If there was a question he couldn't answer. He followed up with me promptly. There was absolutely NO B.S. in this conversation. He was honest about the car and its competitors, which was very refreshing. What I love about Renee is that he's an information provider. He believes in his products, and it shows. He gave me everything I needed to make an informed decision, never pressured me, didn't ask what it would take to get me into the car today, didn't go get the sales manager to help make the sale. He was everything I had ever hoped a car salesman would be and more. I left the lot hoping and praying that my husband would also love the car when he drove it, because.. well.. I really wanted to buy a car from Renee. I wanted to reward him for being exactly the kind of person I want to do business with. Ultimately, my husband was just too darn big for the car, so it wasn't an ideal match for our family. I was very disappointed. Back to the wolves we go! While I haven't completed a transaction with him, I can tell that Renee would be a pleasure to negotiate with. He's fair, up front, and honest. And he's the kind of guy that would be there for you (personally) if you ever had any issues with your car, or questions about it after the sale.

For me, purchasing a car is a once-a-decade deal and it's pretty simple: I buy a car, take care of it, drive it until the thing falls apart and then start anew. Sometimes the car purchasing process ranks up there with visiting the dentist, in that you have to go and do it eventually, but cringe through the process. To my surprise, I did not cringe at all through the process of buying my new vehicle with Renee. He was more than just my sales rep, and as someone who also works in sales, I appreciated Renee’s relentlessness and tenacity to meet my needs. How many sales guy actually give out their actual cell phone number ? 512-721-9234!! (Let me warn you that I’ll post his number again and again. Here it goes !512-721-9234!!) Now, does Renee steal all his "funny" material from last night's episode of Leno? Absolutely. Along with his charm and humor, it was Renee’s doing-whatever-it-takes follow-through that got him the deal. Renee pulled every favor to find me my A3, even when supplies were kaput (that's German for "nada", NOTHING). So just when I thought I was going to have to keep searching Austin or even further, Renee quarterbacked this to reality, for he knew I was hell-bent on getting an A3. I did, however, recommend to Renee that he needs to mix-in some viewings of Conan & the Daily Show to spice-up his witty material. 512-721-9234 I also want to give BIG thanks to finance team (who made the financial paperwork relatively painless), and the other salesman (who - when I got my A3 - provided some VERY helpful tips for my bluetooth phone accessories; big points to this guy and I wasn't even his direct customer). 512-721-9234 This was definitely an atypical car purchasing experience so I will personally vouch for and redirect my friends/acquaintances to Renee. Not all relationships start ou...

Not all relationships start out great. Sometimes they take time to get better and you end up really liking someone or something after some initial hurdles. And sometimes getting over those hurdles will actually make you more loyal than if you never went through them. I'm giving them 5 stars not because they were perfect every step of the way, but because when it was all said and done, they fixed any problems we had and I left very, very happy. I called Renee and I was pretty sure I was ready to make the jump--but unfortunately they didn't have the color combo I wanted. These are very much "white people problems", so I feel silly admitting it. But details like these are important when making such a big purchase. It really wasn't easy to get the car at other dealers because of my credit situation but everything changed immediately but I called Renee. He literally made what was starting off to be a rough entry into a new car a pretty incredible experience. Renee was able to get me exactly what I wanted and spent a lot of time and effort to make it happen. Seriously, he bent over backwards and did an amazing job. I ended up driving away with the exact car that I wanted and it turned me into a very enthusiastic ‘new’ used car owner--with absolute no remorse for ditching my pride. I look forward to my future years with my vehicle and I also look forward to dealing with Renee again. Side note: If you're considering buying a car here, Renee is who’d recommend. He felt honest, trust worthy and had a great attitude in general. Definitely ask for him.

You will be treated with respect and the customer service is great

I am a young single female and the whole car buying process is very scary. I went to quite a few different dealership before I met Allison Menendez at Champion Chevrolet. And until then, my experience with dealerships was horrible. At most of them, I would have to flag down salesmen because they wouldn't want to wait on me. Or the first thing they would ask is where my husband or dad was, and if they would be helping me buy me car. A salesman at one dealership even wanted me to fill out a credit application before he even let me test drive anything or even talked abouyt pricing or payments. I already had my own financing of he bothered to ask! I am very grateful I met Allison at last after a day of being treated so badly. She never talked down to me or pressured me and was very patient and explained all the options of each car I test drove. I finally decided on a new blue 2010 Chevrolet Malibu. She also took the time to introduce me to the service department so that when I needed service, I knew where to go and who to talk to. And before I left, she went through all the gadgets on my new car again to make sure I knew how to use everything. And the coolest thing was the way they did all the paperwork. They have these touch screens that you get to use an electronic pen to sign. How cool is that? I definitely recomment if you are a girl buying a car on your own, go see Allison at Champion Chevrolet. Thank you for your help and support! I purchase a car back in December and I'm very please with the car the service the price and everything ! My mother was in the need of a car and I visit a couple places and I regret, we where trying to get a car with $800.00 down and everyone treat us really bad! Like we where crazy ! It never cross my mind to go back to Specialty motors and after two days of searching for a car I decided to take my mom there, when I walked in their office all the guys in there knew my name and they make me fell welcome I ask one of the guys if they can help me with $800.00 dollars and they show me a 2007 Nissan Altima, my mom was very impress and worried about the payment, I ask them about how much the payment will be and just for the record a similar car at another place was about $560.00 per month and they ask me for $3000.00 Down, wow anyways when I ask about the payment their response was I don't know but I promise you to kleptomania it as low as possible so we went on a test drive when we come back they got all the numbers up front $800.00 down yeah!! And my payments at $379.00 so for that reason I promise them that I was going to write a review about it and here I am!! For those guys at Specialty motors I give thumbs-up, thank you very much and I promise that every time I'm in the need of a car I won't make the mistake I made this very last time I will give you guys the opportunity just the same way you guys give it to me and my mom!!

The staff seems really nice before you buy, but once the transaction is done, they don’t stand behind their sale very well. I paid $550 to have my car registered out of state (I also paid to have it shipped to my home), but the registration was botched and my car was not legally registered when it arrived. I went through a lot of time and effort and finally had to have my insurance agent go directly to the department of motor vehicles to have it done right. Even then, my car sat for 5 days, because it was not legally drivable until was able to get my agent involved. I made my disappointment known in paying all this money for zero value received and asking to have at least part of the fee refunded. Craig, one of the managers, said he would consider it, but then delayed and delayed a response. I had to keep calling him back; it was never the other way. He finally said they were not prepared to do anything. You would think after 53 straight months of record Audi sales nationally, profits would be robust enough to easily afford a small refund, if not for fairness’ sake than to preserve goodwill. Unfortunately, it seems that record sales can also breed arrogance. In the end greed won out. My advice – get everything and writing, don’t rely on promises, make sure everything is exactly as you want it before money changes hands. Better yet – just shop someplace else.

I was delighted to work with Renee and look forward to future dealings. I know they will take care of me and treat me with respect. Renee was extremely patient and polite. I felt very comfortable working with him. I will definitely do business with him and refer clients in the future. Extremely polite and patient. He took time to thoroughly explain the paperwork and answer my questions. He never fast talked me or made me feel stupid. I would recommend anyone to Renee. I had just come from a very bad experience at another dealer and I was wary of car dealerships after that experience. I was at the dealership just to look and maybe test drive a car, but I was treated very well and received a great deal on a car I fell in love with. Renee was very patient with me and made sure that I left satisfied. They also made sure I understood everything about the car and its features. Stellar experience from start to finish, plus we ended up with the car of our dreams. It was well worth it to drive to Austin from Killeen. Renee even gave me his cell phone in case I had any questions that evening after the dealership closed. Great experience overall! I brought my 2008 Malibu in for service, having several potentially severe issues, since the engine light was coming on periodically, the Service Airbag light, the low tire symbol, etc., and the battery was dead when I tried to drive it to the dealer. I called and spoke with the Service Manager, and described all the problems and my concerns, and told him I would bring it in when we got it started. We tried with humper cables, but it wouldn't start, so I called OnStar and they sent someone to give it a jump. The Manager had given me the name of the service person who would have been briefed about my car, and we delivered it to the dealer for service. We were able to get a loaner, which was very helpful, since I had a very busy work schedule that would have required me to get a cab--my husband's work schedule was full aleady, so I appreciated the use of the loaner. The work was compleated, with some of the issues covered when they found that the cable tot he car battery had gone bad, and subsequently the battery was in need of replacement, which they did. Some electrical problems (passenger side electric door locks) were handled through warranty. I was totally pleased with the service, and Joe was particularly helpful and professional. All the Service staff were pleasant and professional.
