The Okaloosa Youth Academy works to protect the public by reducing juvenile crime and delinquency in Florida. The academy administers Seven Challenges, which is a substance abuse treatment program. It offers opportunities to participate in a selection of physical training and team sports activities. The Okaloosa Youth Academy also provides anger management and group counseling services. The academy offers school programs through the Okaloosa County School District, as well as participation options in community service projects. In addition, it manages the Adolescent Behavioral Developmental Incentive Program. The Okaloosa Youth Academy is governed by Gulf Coast Youth Services and serves the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice.
