awesome, helpful people. Cody especially is prompt and very helpful on the phone!Everytime I have visited this place, everyone is patient and helpful
Post office is incapable of delivering packages to the correct address. Repeatedly had packages from several sellers go god knows where.
They are rude as the other reviews have said!! Post master need to hold customer service training!!
A few years ago, I needed to get a passport. I called the number to schedule an appointment, as that was the protocol. I called every day at various times to schedule my appointment, and no one ever answered the phone. I finally get a day off work, and go down there only to be screamed at by the woman behind the counter that I need to call to make an appointment. Even after telling her no one ever answered, she interrupted me and said, "We're busy here!" It shouldn't be that difficult to get a passport. The most helpful thing she did was advise me to go to Bellevue, who didn't require appointments. If I have to mail a package, I go to HyVee on Madison. They're actually friendly, and they can do almost as much as the regular post office.
Ok , I've seen some of the other reviews and realize now , I'm not the only one who has dealt with these rude usps officials. I don't know what it is but everyone I've been in there I get rude looks, short snippy comments, and angry remarks. It's gotten so bad that I dread going in to mail packages. This has been the attitude of 2 out of 3 people I've dealt even th so far. Your stressed and busy. Sure I get that but I've been in extremely stressful work situations and continued to put on a smile and remain polite. I was a server for crying out loud! Anyway I need to go there today and I'm definitely dreading it. The way they speak to everyone is degrading and atrocious. I hope they hire some people that actually appreciate having a job and want to be there the majority of the time. This is continual smug behavior on the part of these postal representatives.
I have recently moved to the Council Bluffs area. I have been sending hard copy pictures to family members out of state. Therefore, I've needed stamps. Two weeks ago, I went to the post office to buy them and a man named Chris was incredibly rude and short with me. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, thinking maybe he was having a bad day. Today, I went into the office to buy stamps. I got to his cubicle and asked for 10 stamps....He rolled his eyes at me. But, proceeded to get them. I saw the purple heart stamps and asked if they had any others as I was sending an envelope to my young granddaughter. He literally, slammed his hand on the counter and sternfully said "no"! I told him I was sorry I offended him he didn't need to be so snippy. The man became verbally combative. Telling me that he had just came from the back and I told him he was snippy. I said 3 separate times..."Can I please have the stamps." He refused to sell them to me and told me to get them from the lady next to him. I would expect a more professional attitude from The United States Postal Service. I shouldn't have to feel threatened and intimidated when buying stamps.
