Waypoint is the best of the best! They're a family business that really takes care of people. Their Customer Service is incredible, when you're dealing with them on a purchase, maintenance, anything, they really care about what they're doing and the product they're providing. They start early, stay late, and go the extra mile on everything. It's really refreshing to see people running a business the right way!!!!!!

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!! They are not honest and have terrible customer service. We went there to purchase a boat motor the first week of March 2015. They told us that the motor would arrive in 7 - 10 business days. After one month of no communication and hounding them we went and asked for our money back (we paid for the motor in full $14,171.00). They kept blaming Mercury and saying that they haven't shipped the motor but we could get a motor off of one of the boats that they had on the show floor. I didn't want a motor that had been installed on another boat and I asked for a number to call Mercury so that I could ask them about their shipping practices. Jimmy and Gerald said Mercury doesn't like to be contacted like that and gave us the check. A couple days later Gerald called my husband and said the motor is on its way and gave us a tracking number. Against my wishes, my husband went over there and paid for the motor again. When it came in he took out boat over for installation. they said it would take 3 days. on the 10th day they called and said they were running behind but that the boat would be finished on Friday May 8, 2015 a total of 2 weeks. on Thursday May 7th we received a call from Gerald stating that we needed to buy an adapter for the motor in order for it to be properly installed. My husband asked why he needed an adapter when we didn't need one before. He was told that the motor was a 20" shaft. My husband then told them that he ordered a 25" shaft and that the motor they were installing was not what he had ordered. He went down there and even the mechanic that was working on the boat admitted that what they were trying to rig up wouldn't work. We asked for our money back and form them to put back our old motor. We went to Chris's marine in Aransas Pass and purchased a motor for less money. During this time I found out that Mercury was offering a $1000.00 rebate on the motor and I had asked Waypoint about it and they said they couldn't give us a rebate because they don't participate in that program. I said it is a manufacturers rebate and everyone should get it. I told my husband something was up with them but I didn't know what. After searching around, Waypoint is not licensed to sell individual motors from Mercury. They have to buy motors from the boat manufacturers that the buy packages from and that is why they wanted us to take a motor from a boat in the showroom. All they had to say is that they didn't sell individual motors and we would have gone elsewhere. Instead they lied and wasted our time. I have contacted Mercury regarding what they did because, as I found out, what they did is actually illegal. This place leaves a lot to be desired. I would give negative stars if I could!!!!
