Clerking for one of her former law professors led to work with the U.S. Department of Justice on a consent decree involving Denny’s Restaurants, after which she represented the corporation on employment matters. She practiced insurance defense with McKinney & Associates in Corpus Christi before working as a litigator for the City of Corpus Christi. Alison quickly advanced to the position of Chief of Litigation, managing all of the claims, lawsuits and litigation attorneys, while handling her own docket of high-profile cases involving personal injury, contract disputes, employment and labor law, public safety, and environmental regulations. A second promotion to First Assistant City Attorney added transactional law, legislative, and governmental policy experience.

Employment Litigation
Although some cases have to proceed to trial for various reasons, Jim's extensive trial experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants convinced him that many more cases should be resolved prior to the reading of the jury's verdict. Therefore, in an attempt to assist litigants in resolving their disputes prior to the accrual of substantial litigation costs and the usual all or nothing jury verdict, in 2010, Jim became a certified mediator. Since 1991 Kevin has tried over 100 cases to verdict in a variety of causes of actions including negligence, product liability, prescription errors, premises liability, premises security, defamation, deceptive trade practices, breach of contract, auto and trucking liability and consumer cases. The facts of each case are different, but his general approach is the same: know your case better than your opponent and determine how the case will be presented to the jury so that it is logical, simple and above all, factually honest.
Construction Litigation
Scott moved to Texas in 2002 and worked as staff counsel for State Farm handling automobile litigation and homeowners and commercial claims. He was named managing attorney for Affirmative Insurance Services in 2006, and managed a state-wide practice and an active docket of trial cases. Scott moved to The Hartford in 2009, and worked as Senior Counsel handling a wide variety of cases. He was promoted to managing attorney in 2016, and was responsible for overseeing The Hartford's staff counsel operations in Texas and Oklahoma. As a trial attorney, Scott has tried over 200 cases to verdict as first chair, covering a wide range of subject areas. His trial experience covers a wide area, including automobile/trucking accidents, FELA claims, products defense, defending contractors, subcontractors and design professionals in construction claims, premises liability, wrongful death, workplace injuries, fire claims and first party claims against insurance carriers.
