Bad customer service 3 different times!

Was greeted by one person downstairs who was talking to his coworkers. I was looking for kids furniture and was instructed to go upstairs. All of 2nd floor is kids furniture, but only 1 salesman worked in that area. To be fair, he was swamped with multiple families needing information and he had no one else to help him. However, after waiting 1 hr to get to talk with him, he couldn't answer my question, wouldn't look it up online and asked me to wait another 45 mins until an Asst Manager could come and help me. That was strike 1. I went downstairs and asked other employees if someone else could help, after all, they were just standing around not doing anything but talking amongst themselves. They don't work in that dept, but I did find someone who was willing to help me. When I came back up with that salesperson, the original salesman started telling the other sales person how it was all my fault because I wouldn't wait another 45 mins for an Asst Manager. I thought that was really rude and uncalled for, in my book that was strike 2. I was annoyed by this point but I continued on and placed my order for 4 kids bedroom sets. When I went to order, the original sales person had to place the order and when I went to pay, I asked how the financing worked and that I had been approved online but my purchase was more than my approval. He started talking to the other salesperson and in front of all the other customers waiting for his help, he starts talking about what I was and wasn't approved for and how we should go about financing the balance. I was so embarrassed and felt totally disrespected! That is no ones business and should have stayed between myself and the salesperson(s). Strike 3. Finally got my order in, paid for and set up my pick up date. I called to make sure my furniture was there on the agreed upon pick up date and was told by the lady on the phone that they don't do pick ups on this particular day. I told her that the salesman set that up, it states it on the receipt as a current time and date for pickup and then she said that if I came then no one would help me load it. Strike 4. Came to pick up the furniture as per my receipt and when we show up and hand her the receipt she rolls her eyes and sighs. Strike 5! Never ever again will I buy anything from these people. It is a real shame, as they have nice furniture and prices. There are not a whole lot of choices in my town of places to go either. These people are just plain rude and have no respect for others here. Go somewhere else if you can. It took me from 10 am -230 pm to get my order from start to paid for. That should not take that long.



Terrible Customer Service

Went to RTG on 04/05/2014 and although there are plenty of sales reps downstairs, not once was I greeted. This is the 2nd time I've been to the store and see the sales people just chatting with each other.....There was one sales person by the name of Bruce (upstairs) that was very busy but, still took the time to greet us. If you want REAL customer service, go on over to Furniture Row and if you must shop at RTG, shop online!
