Established in 1965, Power Repair Service is a family-owned machine shop facility. It provides overhauling of pumps, compressors, turbines, expanders, gear boxes, blowers and motors. The company serves mining, railroad and marine companies, petrochemical and chemical refineries, office buildings, hospitals and the U.S. Navy. Power Repair Service has vertical lathing, milling, computerized numerical-control machining, drill pressing and thread rolling capabilities. Its other capabilities include stainless and carbon steel grinding, balancing and floor milling. The company provides mig, tig and arc welding, plasma cutting, coating, sand blasting, painting, hydraulic wrenching and storage services. It also offers various field services, including refinery maintenance, pump and turbine repair, grouting, laser alignment and precision leveling. Power Repair Service is a member of the Associated Builders and Contractors of the Texas Coastal Bend and the Contractors Safety Council of the Coastal Bend. It maintains a staff of more than 80 employees and has over 50,000 square feet of shop space. The company is located in Corpus Christi, Texas.
