Within the first hr. we had the room, I had to call down..to desk twice!
First time..because the shower curtain was full of mold!
Housekeeping was very fast on replacing..thankfully.
Second time was because the ironing board provided in room
did not work. This took them more than 30min to correct.
We were running late for our event by then.
I learned that i must try all equipment in the room..do not assume
that they are in working order!!

My vacation was ruined by the reservation agent and the hotel. The rooms were ok, but not what I asked and confirmed. I cancelled my reservations for 3 nights and attempted to get my money back for the one night. I found that I was billed (through my bank -not them) that I was billed in advance and had hidden charges added on.
The outside of the hotel was unclean. The pool and jacuzzi was smaller than its photo. The business center was a tiny room with a malfunctioning ATM machine in it. The manager was rude and doesn't listen to the paying customer.
See your room before you pay. Make sure you specify (in person) that you want to pay daily or you'll be charged the full amount -even if you don't stay. They process your payment in advance and don't inform you. They, also, have hidden charges $25 x3 for ""incidentals"". They are independently owned and will not transfer between another Holiday Inn unlike Omni marina and bayfront. Broken fitness equipment. We had a child in tow. We weren't given the option of having her stay & eat free. She didn't receive a kid's pack either. Just make sure you review everything and ask questions. But beware, you will not be heard.
It took 3.5 evenings for me to get a response and 4 days for me to get my money back.
**I must give props to one Holiday Inn -Emerald Beach in Corpus Christi. You get what they advertise. Wonderful beach and child friendly environment.**
