I would get reliable friendly service from this company. Something changed and now the customer service is awful. I called and scheduled a repair, the gave me between 9-12, even took the dryer model number. On the day of the appointment no one shows up, I called and spoke to a woman who said they are just running late. On another follow up another woman could not find a record of the work order, she snapped when I asked when they might come and did not bother taking my number. I think the reputation they had is gone they are letting grumpy old ladies talk to customers. I no longer refer them to my friends.

19. The Vac Shop
Had a vacuum under warranty that needed repair. The elder Hispanic man working here was rude and acted like I was a waste of his time. His business is cluttered, dirty, and disorganized. I took my business elsewhere. Save yourself the time. Go to another vacuum store in Corpus... there is much b…

Word of advice take pictures of your Uhaul odometer before leaving the parking lot. They added 30 miles to my contract and basically told me too bad...Customer Service and honesty is not this company's strong point. Never again.
Top in Texas for Service, Sales, Attention to customer needs and financial abilities. Owner personally checks out his installation and repair teams to insure best job for customer. Took 3 bids from BBB and Yellow pages "Preferred" companies and his was nearly 40% below the next bid. What else could a customer ask for?
Knowing this person had just been a total inconvenience. He owes me wages that have gone unpaid I have filed and had to contact my lawyer on the matter. He is dishonest and charges for services he can't even do because he is always unprepared. I've witnessed him take tools from a customer they weren't nothing fancy but when the customer asks about them and you keep them that's stealing no matter what they are. But his dishonesty and lack of integrity ends here. Eveyone should know the real man behind heavy air and heat not the facade he his playing off
CRAPPY SERVICE. DO NOT USE. My a/c is 6 months old and I'm already having installation issues. I have requested the owner to fix several times, for which he has promised to come out and never showed. He has absolutely no respect for the owner's time. I recommend using a mainstream service where they will at least confirm times of service, and not leave you waiting on them for 5 hours just to find out they are not coming.
Honest,Quick, with results I haven't experienced in 40 YEARS!!They didn't try to sell a new unit they fixed the older one and it works better than when installed by other company!Air is cooler and comes out with better volume. Ace's in my book.Erik L

Sometime last week, I arrived at 1st Source Servall hoping to replace a faulty AC capacitor, and possibly a fan motor. When I walked into the store, I said, “Good morning.”The two “gentlemen” bilaterally placed on either side of the service counter did nothing to show that my presence was recognized by them. So I said again with more emphasis, “Good morning. Anybody?” The shorter man (the spectacled, balding one), turned to the other older employee, and asked,“Are you punched in?”With the flattest, driest anti-enthusiasm, and the deadest eyes he could muster, the Older Guy asked me, “What do you need…”::Cut to my inner monologue at this very moment::Is this really happening? Is this how they treat ALL their customers? How are they still in business?Maybe I should build a time-machine, rewind a few seconds, walk out the door, and re-enter this establishment again for a “do-over”.::End of inner monologue, and back to my narrative::If I hadn’t needed those air conditioner parts so badly and if I didn‘t love my wife so much, that CERTAINLY would have made me walk out of there at that point. With the same shark-stare and lifeless voice, Old Guy continued,“We don’t have that part here. We don’t really like to sell these parts (retail) to consumers. You might try Johnstone on Agnes.” By the time I asked him for directions, my feet were already walking ME out of the store.::Cut back to my inner monologue upon my departure::These guys are severely unhappy with their CHOSEN professions. Why do they work for the public if they hate people?NEVER again…ever.::Back again to my narrative::I was taken aback by this customer service nightmare, because in previous Saturday visits to this store, a tall, energetic, personable employee (forgive me for not recalling his name) got me in and out of the store with the most jovial attitude, as if he were happy to have MY business. On this particularly early morning , he even apologized to me for not having the point of sale machine/register set up for the day when I walked in.After purchasing my much needed capacitor at Johnstone (the other service parts location in my city, and a TERRIFIC customer service experience, I might add), I asked the friendly employee about their business hours. Much to my chagrin, he reported that they are closed on weekends, which are my only available days to scratch items off of my domestic, “honey-do” list.As we all know, manmade components are subject to intermittent failures from time to time. If ever I am in the market for appliance parts again, I would rather take a vacation day off to go to Johnstone, than to wait till the weekend to deal with that rude pair again. The only way I’ll EVER give 1st Source Servall (formerly known as Standard Appliance) my business again, is if I see the aforementioned tall, friendly employee standing at the service desk.If all three men are working on a Saturday, and I am next in line to be helped by the Rude Brothers, I will gladly let the next person in line take my spot. I’ll wait for Tall, Friendly Guy, thank you very much.
Excellent service, great prices I recommend then to everyone. Thank you for a great job! Ken was very honest and informative. Its a breath of fresh air...thanks
Needing a lid switch for my Whirlpool washing machine, I went to the YP.com website to find appliance parts stores in Corpus Christi. The only one listed is 1st Source Servall Appliance Parts. At their site was a link to their website. I went to their website, inserted the part number I needed and it showed they had it in stock for $23.89. On June 29, 2015 I went to the store to purchase the switch even though at $23.89 it was priced over three times higher than eBay prices. (No one wants to be without their washing machine while waiting for a part to be shipped.) 1st Source Servall Appliance Parts did have the part in stock but told me I had to pay an additional $8.95 shipping. That increased the price of the part to $32.84 plus sales tax. That made the part five times what it cost on eBay. It made absolutely no sense to me that they would charge me shipping when the part was on their shelf. Also, on their website it did not state that there was no local pickups and/or that local pickups would be charged an additional shipping charge.I refused to pay such an outrageous price for the part and I left empty handed. This was not my first disappointing experience with this business. They routinely over-charge for parts knowing that most people are willing to pay it because getting their appliance back up and running is critical. This was certainly the last time I'll enter their doors.Unfortunately for all of us, 1st Source Servall Appliance Parts is the only appliance parts store in town. Your options are either let them rip you off or be willing to have your part shipped and wait a few days for it.Also, don't let 1st Source Servall Appliance Parts tell you that their prices are based on "quality" OEM parts. Their OEM appliance parts are the same made in China or Mexico junk as the after-market parts. The OEM parts are made on the same assembly line with the same inferior materials as the after-market parts.Sorry that I don't have a better solution for you consumers but 1st Source Servall Appliance Parts is a good example of what happens in the absence of competition in the market place and of how the USA has become a throw-away society.
