Alexandre’s is one of Dallas' fastest growing and most diverse live entertainment venues. Since the bar's opening in 2004, the team at Alexandre's has successfully shaped the space into an award winning neighborhood bar (Best Lounge-2008 Dallas Voice Reader’s Choice Awards, Best Lounge, Best Drink Specials, and Best Bartender (Robert Stahl)-2007 Dallas Voice Reader’s Choice Awards, and Best Happy Hour-Lambda Pages Awards 2007, Best Martini-2005 TXT Magazine Best Of). The décor in Alexandre's is sophisticated, but cozy--- from the signature custom leather "kissing booths', pearl white walls, blue-flake granite bar top, to the faux marble lighted bar, the attention to detail promotes a very “New York feel”—but you won't find any pretentiousness here! The friendly staff is legendary for promoting behavior that never lets you forget that the bar's number one priority is for you to have fun!! Alexandre's is best known for it's fresh and original approach to live entertainment. Entertainers are featured every night of the week, and range from solo acts to full bands (including rock, blues, rhythm and blues, country), and at any time a professional musician may take the stage to perform a set or just provide fill-in to our veritable cast of merry-makers. However, fans of lounge acts and cabaret shows may want to reconsider their selected hangout for the evening. The management's decision to have "a free concert every night" resulted in an overwhelmingly positive response due to the crowd's growth. Don't be surprised if the crowd gets downright rowdy as the evening progresses! But do expect to clap, stomp, laugh and sing along at this one-of-a-kind establishment.
The Goat is an odd place. I've heard some of the best live blues & jazz around in this bar and I've been around. It's 'out of the way' location alone marks it as 'easy to miss'. It's a dive bar, unpretentious for the better part and now sees a cross-over to the 20 to 30's crowd (karaoke 'Pun…
I love this place! After 3 years in Dallas, I've finally found a little dive that reminds me of some of those in my hometown of San Antonio! Great country music at times; interesting people; very good burgers and fries; ice cold beer; and it's in my neighborhood! Nothing fancy or pretentious …
9. Pour House
The Pour House is as basic as a sports bar can get. There are several big screens (mainly front projectors, so most are better viewed at night), and the place has ample seating for its normal crowds. Everything here is no-frills. Most TVs are not HD-quality, but you're usually able to get the…

This is the best place to feel at home. The people who work there and the patrons are like family. Great atmosphere but a little smokey at times. The owners stop in on weekends and have shots with their regulars. The only place where I have drank all night and when I got my tab it was $20 bucks…
Barcadia has quickly become our favorite neighborhood hangout. It's a cool atmosphere with sweet waitresses and delicious, if not creative, bar food. My friends and I love the Sunday Funday brunch, although the food selection at that time is somewhat lacking...but hey, it's brunch. They recen…
22. Stan's Blue Note
I agree with Samrat. The chili cheese dip is the best in town! The age group is not varied though. It's becoming more of a great hangout for the college crowd especially on the weekends. The school spirit can't be beat!!! Great energy at the bar when they play alternative contemporary m…
AWESOME place to party and have a good time.. Candy the bartender is cool as heck, makes the best mixed drinks. music is boot scootin good... My only complaint is the Waitress ( BILLY)... She is snotty and Rude..
Everytime I have been to this spot I have throughly enjoyed myself. I have a special place in my heart for Dallas now and it's because of the fun I continue to have at the blues palace. I wish eveyone would take time to stop in and see for themselves. The right reverend, his show and his quest ar…
This is no ordinary sports bar & grill. It is rightly named a sports bar and RESTAURANT. Great, satisfying food. It's all you need. It is big enough to avoid any smoke. Go on in, you'll be happily surprised.
The Goat is an odd place. I've heard some of the best live blues & jazz around in this bar and I've been around. It's 'out of the way' location alone marks it as 'easy to miss'. It's a dive bar, unpretentious for the better part and now sees a cross-over to the 20 to 30's crowd (karaoke 'Punk to Bob Wills'... lol) on Wednesdays and Sundays. Although the gems are the Monday night Blues Jams with Tony DeCicco, Perry Jones & James Perkins and every Thursday night, Pete Barbeck with Tim Neilley & Fred Gleber host the currently longest running Blues and Rock & Roll Jam in town! They started playing there when it was called the 'Office Lounge' just over 10 years ago. Like any other bar or music venue, they have their slow nights and then pack 'em the next. The list of artists who have at one time or another hit their stage, is impressive indeed. Including (outside the above mentioned main-stays), - random order - Lucky Peterson, 'Jr Boy' Jones, Joe Jonas, Pops Carter, Johnnie Woods, Bill Eden, Texas Slim, Hash Brown, Lance Lopez, James Hinkle, Andrea Dawson, JR & Sister Rose (for years on Tuesdays), The Kenny Barker Band (with David Jo Frame & Don Landry - special guest 'Bruce Bowland', also a long loyal mainstay on Tues., Fri. or Sat.), TopCats, Silvertones, Rob Hunt, Aaron Burton (recently), Jackie Don Loe with Jay Dronge & Peter Kaplan, every 3rd Fri of the month... I can go on forever...(don't be mad cause I didn't mention yer name...) You wanna hear someone blow? I take my chances with The Goat on Mondays and Thursdays anytime! For Fridays and Saturdays, check their calendar on myspace.
Stan's is a great place, the staff is always friendly. Love the atmosphere very laid-back and I always feel like family there. The age group of customers is varied, making me feel right at home. The food is so delicious, the taco salad is extremely yummy. I am a vegetarian but am able to get it made more to fit my needs and it is mouth-watering. There are so many good dishes on the menu but another favorite of mine is the Junior chips and dip - OMG talk about delicious. It's more than just a queso dip!! The savory flavors from all the ingredients mixed together just leave you "smiling" you would never think to marry all those ingredients together in a dip. Kuddos to the cook on that one! The bar area is uniquely designed to give ample attention to both areas of the room, with a few game tables on a separate side and of course can't forget the outdoor seating facing Greenville ave. Stan's is also a great place to go and watch an afternoon game or Olympics for they have enough flatscreens around to keep your attention no matter where you might be sitting. The music box has an array of various different types of music for every age group. On most nights there is standing room only but you will always find a smile on everyone's faces. Stan's is definitely the place to meet your friends for some guaranteed fun, at least in my book it is.

Central 214 is attached to Hotel Palomar. This restaurant was featured on a reality TV show called The Naughty Kitchen. I think, due to the TV show, that this place is probably a little over-hyped. Everything I've had here has been OK but not great, and probably not worth the price tag. Desserts especially are lacking in the flavor department. We have had really nice, friendly service here, however. If I were staying at the Palomar and was able to expense my meals, Central 214 would be just fine for a hotel restaurant. For my money, however, I think I've satisfied my curiosity and I'm ready to move on.
New Year's Eve.2016... Excellent unbelievable Beatles trubute live band.. sold out standing room only. Fun.. Fun.. Fun.. party favors served at midnight.. Slight mix-up with my table reservations but the manager "Christopher" quickly resolved the problem. Drinks were good, reasonably priced menu, and excellent service despite the large crowd. I was so pleased I left a very generous tip and plan to visit this place again. Also, do not worry about parking... there was plenty of parking behing the building for only 8 bucks.
Beautiful bar. Great beer selection, great service, great food, wonderful design, and great music. Lots of fun stuff to do on a day to day basis like poker, soccer/rugby watching, beer tastings, and trivia. Also, I really love the great range in clientel there -- from college students, elderly, sports fans, dancers, artists, blue collar, white collar, etc. etc. I hope more pubs like this get imported here to Texas!!! ... (I recommend the seafood penne pasta, pork bucco, or prime rib and pudding for dinner.)
The clubhouse is Great Club to go to. Management and the ladies are friendly and Great place to have a good time. M-F Free admission and free drinks until 4PM. Saturday around 4AM insomia for the younger crowd and it can get kinda crazy:) They are also in the process of redoing the club at night and making big improves. Right now it is a Awesome club and a Great place to go. It is a full N bring your own bottle club.
This club is SO RAD! It has some of the hottest girls in Dallas as far as clubs go. I can't decide between The Clubhouse and XTC. They both ROCK! Unlike XTC, though, I've heard that alot of famous people hang out at The Clubhouse because Vinnie Paul (Pantara's drummer) owns it. I just started going (last night was my 4th time) so I personally haven't seen any, but I'll be looking for sure! Go see this place!!!
