The food was just average. Nothing special.For a restaurant apparently this popular, it is not acceptable to overcook a filet. I ask for mine medium well, pink in the middle right?this one was cooked all the way through. My appetizer, escargot, was served in a different way which is ok as long as they had removed every piece of shell. They were taken out of the shell, but pieces of it left in the food, which made it very hard and annoying to eat as you are afraid you might break a tooth.The wine was good. The service just OK. To finish our meal, we ordered coffee and dessert. The coffee was old and and the dessert was just average, nothin special.When we were greeted by the waiter, we asked about their specialty, what would the chef recommend. His answer was very impressive and different. " everything here is special, our menu is very small, we have been opened 43 years". with that answer we thought we had chosen "The Place". Of the dishes we had, nothing was special, in fact it was just average to bellow average. I would not recommend this restaurant, in fact I will never go back there.
