Hansen Property Management was very short and rude from the beginning, starting with our first interaction with them. We shouldn't have even went forward with them. To our surprise, we were moved into a home where they didn't disclose the fact that the home had a roach infestation, which we discovered the first night in the home. The day we received the keys to the home we spotted a few roaches that were not seen when we first viewed the home. At first the management refused to send out an exterminator so we purchased $150 worth of supplies to fix what we could. We had to move our things in that night because we already had the moving rental truck loaded. After killing over 40 roaches that night and not staying in the home because we were so grossed out. We decided that we wanted to reverse the lease due to this issue. They were not going to let us out of the lease until they saw that we had documented everything and had tons of pictures and videos of the infestation and roach feces. We were reimbursed for the initial fees paid (security deposit, first and last months rent, application fee, ect...). Katherine the owner of the property management company said that she had no idea of the infestation and that it isn't her fault. That it isn't her fault for our lost wages due to me having to call in from work to fix this problem. To find somewhere else to live so that we won't become homeless with only 8 days before our previous lease is up. That it isn't her fault for the constant truck rental to move our things back and forth. That it isn't her fault for us having to pay for a storage to put our things in until we find a place, and also having to treat our things again before we move them into the new home. She did not accept any responsibility and had no remorse for our time and money. At the end she argued with us very unprofessionally and screamed take me to court. Overall this company is very unprofessional and I am not sure how they are still in business.

We tried to sell our waterfront house for sale by owner, but got frustrated after a while with little activity. We heard about Lake Norman Mike and decided to list with him. He went right to work, making the house look presentable with professional staging, pictures, video and a very unique picture of the lake. In less than a month the house was sold for much higher than priced (over 20K). Lake Norman Mike and his team did a tremendous job cutting out all the frustration of the showings, paperwork, and negotiations. We love Lake Norman Mike!
The landlord is a delusional money-hungry individual with terrible properties. When things are broken by the structure of things, she will not put forth effort to fix anything. She makes up lies about your property so you can pay out more than you need. She's just really terrible, I wouldn't suggest her services to worse enemy
I rented a home from AH4R in July 2014. I was worried after all of the negative reviews but have had a pleasant experience with management. When I moved in my water heater AND heat went out. The garage ceiling also collapsed due to an internal water leak. I don't think these were things that could have been prevented - and the management had contractors out the same day/next day to have everything fixed. I'd say as long as you pay your rent on time they are fine and have no reason to bother you. Tara always returns my calls/emails quickly and the gal in charge of the HOA on the landlord side was great when the HOA was giving me a hard time. I have not received my deposit back so I'm not sure how that will go as many of the reviews were negative in regards to that. I will update when I get it back.
Awful attitudes here, very unpleasant and not very knowledgeable of area or properties
I somewhat expected to be disappointed during their Lake Laceola Sale on August 2nd 2014, as the add we were sent was a "too good to be true" add. There were two plots of land under our budget that were advertised and I asked two different agents prior to driving two hours up there if there were more properties under that pricetag ($20,000) and they blatantly lied as when we got up there only the two from the advertisement were "available" and the rest were $30,000-150,000. We immediately expressed interest in both properties but, were told by our agent that they had to walkie talkie in at 10:00am and whoever gets heard first will get the plots, and our agent called in right at 10:00am and we got nothing. The plots were already sold to someone else. I also, like John in the below review, was told numerous times there would information on the plots and prices sent to me prior to the meeting, and they sent an email today, the day of, stating "Good Morning Ryan, I was unable to send out emails by time I received your email. We'll have time cover everything this morning. See you soon Mark" He had all week to send the information I had requested several times.
You'll do fine with them as long as you don't have any questions; apparently you just have to trust them to drive to the destination to really understand the property. First rep never sent promised emailed materials, even after leaving a 2nd communication voicemail. Asked 2nd rep for a plat (lot sizes, prices), etc.; received nothing. First rep later explained they don't have time to answer phone questions in advance. I called their Manager 2 times, but was told he was out, and my call was not returned over 2 business days. I can't justify time and travel capital for this kind of unknown, and concerning to me when NOT transparent.
Our total experience working with Sue Nichols-fantastic!! We could not have had a better, more informed, highly educated and completely caring realtor than Sue. We understand that the home buying process can be stressful and Sue defused a few issues, which helped to keep us focused on the main goal. If we ever decide to buy another house, we wouldn't choose anybody but Sue again. She is so competent about the market, the produce and the loan options available that it really takes some of the stress right off your shoulders because you know you're safe working with her. We trusted her completely and she never let us down. We love her and so will her next clients, you'll see.
The good folks at Lake Realty...Martha and Frank Free, worked with us for over three years to find our dream home on Lake Norman. The three-year time frame was driven by our inability to sell our former home in Colorado. Throughout this time the Free's were as supportive and patient as can be...way beyond the call of duty. We spent countless hours using their search tool to screen and rank prospective
If you read this and don't hire Eloise Morano as your Realtor...you're not looking for quality and heart, all in one package.I usually avoid giving the very highest ratings because in real life, the very highest and the very lowest scores are tossed as unrealistic. In this case, however, I do not hesitate to give the highest score to Eloise. Hear me out on this. Her Broker assigned me to her after I was cruising around on the web for Lake Norman properties. I had just listed my home near Holden Beach, NC and was interested in the Lake Norman area. She got in touch with me right away. We talked at length about my wish list for a new home. She was very responsive and always either answered my calls or returned them within a short time....big thing with me. I made plans to visit the area. She prepared several showings meeting the criteria that I had shared with her. I actually found a couple that would work great for me.Well, several months later and all the while, Eloise kept in touch. All the homes I saw were sold and I got a contract on my home at the beach.I called her and told her I needed to make a whirlwind trip to see homes again She again found us homes to see. I had chosen several to see. There was one that appealed to me as I scanned them online. Indeed, it was the third one we saw and bingo...we went back to the office, wrote up the offer, we negotiated, went to contract. The home inspection has been done, remedies will be done in a couple of days and I am as "pleased as punch"!YES!!! Happy Client,Ms Summers
