Hansen Property Management was very short and rude from the beginning, starting with our first interaction with them. We shouldn't have even went forward with them. To our surprise, we were moved into a home where they didn't disclose the fact that the home had a roach infestation, which we discovered the first night in the home. The day we received the keys to the home we spotted a few roaches that were not seen when we first viewed the home. At first the management refused to send out an exterminator so we purchased $150 worth of supplies to fix what we could. We had to move our things in that night because we already had the moving rental truck loaded. After killing over 40 roaches that night and not staying in the home because we were so grossed out. We decided that we wanted to reverse the lease due to this issue. They were not going to let us out of the lease until they saw that we had documented everything and had tons of pictures and videos of the infestation and roach feces. We were reimbursed for the initial fees paid (security deposit, first and last months rent, application fee, ect...). Katherine the owner of the property management company said that she had no idea of the infestation and that it isn't her fault. That it isn't her fault for our lost wages due to me having to call in from work to fix this problem. To find somewhere else to live so that we won't become homeless with only 8 days before our previous lease is up. That it isn't her fault for the constant truck rental to move our things back and forth. That it isn't her fault for us having to pay for a storage to put our things in until we find a place, and also having to treat our things again before we move them into the new home. She did not accept any responsibility and had no remorse for our time and money. At the end she argued with us very unprofessionally and screamed take me to court. Overall this company is very unprofessional and I am not sure how they are still in business.

Oakhurst. Gandy did poor construction on the condos at Oakhurst to start with and had to do several repairs to the building including fixing the foundation issues and a huge crack in the wall because the foundation was not built right, but beyond that they are screwing residents of the Condos at Oakhurst once more by there stupid sign they have up. There is a piece of land that is not big enough to put a condo building up on and they are not really planning to, but they had to do something with the land for some reason, probably to keep a construction loan going or something. They are not really planning on building another building there is the point. They are claiming they are putting studio units in which would be devastating to the condos because the sign says $90,000!!!~ Are you freaking kidding me?We are trying to sell out Unit that is worth more than having a comparable of $90,000 next door for a brand new studio. Studio units do not belong in Oakhurst! We are a town home at 3 bedroom and a condo at 2 bedroom. The rental ratio is low right now. The Studio units do not belong, but it is fake anyway so I doubt they are building them, but for those of us having a unit to sell it does not look good for potential buyers. This is not a rental community and if it becomes that way, we will lose eligibility for people to finance certain ways in the future when buying our units. We have two condos that are both residences at the Terraces at Oakhurst. One of them we are selling, so when people see our unit and then go to pull out of the neighborhood and see a sign for brand new units at $90,000!!!!! 20 grand under the price of the condos. People showing our condo have no way of knowing when they see that sign that they are studios and they don't really like the idea of another building being right there. Even though it is a FAKE construction site!!!Way to screw people that bought property from you, but Gandy does not exactly have a reputation for caring about what they are doing to their communities after they are sold!! I would not recommend buying anything from this company. That is really a slap in the face putting that sign up in Oakhurst and it needs to come down like yesterday. People are outraged!!! They have been asked to take it down several times and the city of Cornelius won't make them take it down. Jerks. I would not move into any other community by Gandy. The Gandy Family could care less what they are doing to us over here at the Terraces with their awful sign. Gandy not a good company for putting the 90,000 sign up next to our condos that should be in the 120's. Hateful company and awful family!! They don't care about who they are screwing over!
I rented a home from AH4R in July 2014. I was worried after all of the negative reviews but have had a pleasant experience with management. When I moved in my water heater AND heat went out. The garage ceiling also collapsed due to an internal water leak. I don't think these were things that could have been prevented - and the management had contractors out the same day/next day to have everything fixed. I'd say as long as you pay your rent on time they are fine and have no reason to bother you. Tara always returns my calls/emails quickly and the gal in charge of the HOA on the landlord side was great when the HOA was giving me a hard time. I have not received my deposit back so I'm not sure how that will go as many of the reviews were negative in regards to that. I will update when I get it back.
Awful attitudes here, very unpleasant and not very knowledgeable of area or properties
I hate having to even give this guy 1 star, not on the quality of the work, but on his customer service and communication. He knew that we were planning on going out of town, but yet after telling him that many times and him changing the dates a total of 4 times, most of the work ended up getting done while we were out of town. He left our attic exposed many days during stormy weather. We had to have someone meet them out there everyday to let them in the basement seeing all of the materials were in there. He would never tell us when they were coming, I would just get a text telling us that they were waiting to get in. He wanted to get paid partially before the work was completed which was not in the contract. The guys he hired to do the work were very nice and did great, but not happy with him. He has serious communication issues, he expected us to read his mind, and he tried to get out of doing some of the work that was in the contract
