• Established in 1981
Founded in Atlanta by George McKerrow, Jr., LongHorn Steakhouse began with one man's passion for perfect steak but very few guests to convince. Then a freak snowstorm hit Atlanta in 1982, stranding motorists and drawing them to one of the only hospitable places available - a restaurant then called LongHorn Steaks Restaurant & Saloon. Tales of expertly grilled steaks soon spread like wildfire, and the legend of LongHorn was born.
Today, LongHorn welcomes diners to a modern, relaxing dining experience, with knowledgeable servers offering the finest fresh steaks, chicken and seafood expertly prepared as only LongHorn can.
Beyond legendary steaks done right, LongHorn is also known for being a positive force in the community. Each day, the restaurant gathers unused, fresh food that wasn't served & donates it to local community food banks. LongHorn Steakhouse is proud to give back to the local community and help make a difference in the lives of others.
I walked into Longhorn Steakhouse, Cornelia, Ga at 2:56p the hostess asked us how many people in your party and we were the only two people standing there. Next, she said wait one moment and proceeds to clean a used table. She comes back and says follow me and takes us directly to a booth that was already available. So we stood there 3-4 minutes waiting for her to clean a table that wasn't for us. With same hands that cleaned the table she fixed our drinks and brought them to the table. We sat there 10-12 minutes watching other groups get serviced immediately. Our waitress seemed apprehensive about coming to serve us. She finally made it around to us complimenting me, which made me settle down somewhat. She took our orders which was two T-bone steaks, ceasar salads, and baked potatoes. I'm not sure why she asked, "do you want the bread?" I observed all the other tables receiving bread automatically with the drinks. (yet another inconsistency) The main problem is that other tables with larger parties got food faster than me and my husband. Lastly, to add insult to injury, I get my steak which would have been fine but we hadn't got our salad! They brought it and thought it was going to be okay. NO! That is NOT ACCEPTABLE!!! We frequent much more expensive restaurants and have never been ignored by the wait staff. I know that there are stereotypes about certain ethnicities trying to get away without tipping, not wanting to pay or having the waitress run around unecessarily, but these stereotypes do NOT apply to us! We were just trying to enjoy and celebrate my husband's 50th birthday dinner. Thanks for ruining it!

Very truly,

Wanda J. Smith
