From Business: In 1932, Sam Gould opened a small hair salon with the objective of creating salons that offered upscale ambiance, superior customer service as well as unsurpassed…
First impression is everything. I stopped by after 9am to schedule an appt. I learned the salon will not open until 12 noon, however the hours on the door says 9am.
Nagi and Yusra were both very kind and it had a nice and clean atmosphere, but I did get a REALLY BAD haircut here from Nagi. My hair was long (about the middle of my back)and I asked for 2 inches cut and a v shape. I didn't have time to play with it when she was done as she had another customer waiting and I assumed it would be great because I came here for the good reviews it had. But, when I got home I noticed it was not what I wanted at all, SO uneven and choppy? I don't know the right word but it was horrible. Normally, id pull the usual and whine about it while waiting a year to visit the hair salon again. But, I went back because it was the day before my college graduation. She didn't act like it was a big deal or sorry about it but she was nice. She asked Yusra to do my bangs because she didn't know how to use a certain tool. Yusra, ended up fixing my hair and had to cut more than I originally wanted off to fix it and I did not even get the cut I wanted in the end because so much was cut off. Yusra is really sweet, didn't make me feel bad, and I wished she would've cut my hair to begin with. Also, I saw someone was charged $17 for a cut. I was charged $20. Not a huge deal but I don't know if the prices went up or if Nagi was just charging me a little more. I feel like I should've got a refund.
Best. Never have a long wait. Always get exactly what I ask for. Everyone is really friendly. Love Trish !!
It was frustrating to me that she barely took a second to even acknowledge pictures I had brought with me to show her the shape that I wanted. I understand that there are basic rules to achieving the most natural looking brows, but beyond that is entirely personal preference- of the person GETTING the eyebrows. I asked her multiple times to look at the pictures, and she just kept replying "I got it, I got it, I'm going to make it look perfect". Perfect means and looks different to everyone. I did not get the eyebrows that I wanted, let alone any "eyebrows" at all. Every stroke into my skin, from the beginning, felt like I was getting stapled into my skull. In the many microblading videos that I had watched prior to getting my own done, never had I seen any client flinching with every stroke, as I had. Mid-session I asked her to reapply the anesthetics, but she said we were almost done anyways. Later on when she let me see the mirror midway through, I told her that I wanted my brows much more filled, but that I didn't want to continue without anesthetics. She again refused to reapply the anesthetics, and said she would fill it out "just few more" for the day. She started going at a much faster pace, and I knew at that point that my brows were just rushed- those "strokes" that were added on at that point are now half-faded, shapeless grey blobs. She told me AFTERWARDS that she had run out of the anesthetics that is supposed to last, so she had used a backup one that lasts for just a few minutes. I had that cream on at 5:33pm. I walked out of the salon past 6:40pm. That was probably the most unprofessional aspect of the entire appointment. She let me walk out of the salon with ink and dry blood all over my face. Blood continued oozing out of my brows for the car ride home. Also, make sure to bring your allotted payment in cash. She told me AFTER that she was charging $8 for using credit card.

I started going to Carol's Cuts in 2012 after growing my hair out. Not only does she listen to what you want, but Carol remembers me (and all my family members and friends BY NAME) to this day. I won't let anyone else touch my hair.
