I have been going here for over 5 years and I love it. This church is anything but self serving. When I recently faced some financial difficulties, they reached out to help with free gas and groceries. When my friend's stepmom was dying of cancer, I went to the church for assistance and again, they helped financially and they didn't even know this woman.
Great worship. Great sermons. I actually look forward to church. I look forward to and enjoy reaching out to our community through our various outreaches. There is a great group of people here.
And to the reviewer who asked why it took them so long to find a head pastor...I can't answer that since I began coming after they hired our current pastor, but I am guessing it takes time to find the right fit. Not ever pastor is right for every church. All I know is that our pastor loves Jesus and he loves people and I am glad to call him my pastor.
I was a little skeptical when I first started going here, coming from the Catholic Church its a lot different. But really got me more than the warm greeting at the door was the pastor telling the people not to take his word on what the Bible says but to actually go back and check it for ourselves, I never heard that at my last church. This Church has a good childrens program which has spawned deep faithbased questions from both of my boys. Hears a thought to go with the last review, the Apostles didn't have credentials but we study from their books that make up the Bible. You don't always have to have credentials but you do need to have a passion for what you do.
Stay away. This church consists of self serving, ego boosting indivisuals. They don't care about the congregation practicing God's Commandments. The "school teachers" have no qualifications. They want the attendance and monetary contributions. Why does it take them so long to find a head pastor ?
