Very fast work is done here every time that I brig in a car in matter what the time is or what the circumstances. I can either just come right in or make an appointment. Makes no difference on how well the job will get done.

They work very hard! City gara...

They work very hard! City garage is honest and stand behind their work. They work very hard to find the problems the first time and tell you up front what your options are after looking at your vehicle. If there is any kind of problem after repair, they are quick to stand up to their portion and take care of it with minimal charge to the customer. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a good mechanic in the Coppell area.

My ABS light came on so l took...

My ABS light came on so l took my car to the dealer to have it fixed. l was told that the left front wheel bearing needed to be replaced so l authorized the work. A year later the light came on again so l took it to city garage since it was right down the street from my house. They claimed that the same part that was replaced the prior year needed to be replaced again. This was a $500 repair so l wasn't happy but l authorized the work to be done. l got my car back and 4 months later the light came on again so l took it back to city garage since it was still under warranty. This time l was told that it was the other side that needed to be replaced. Again l authorized the work and paid another repair fee. A few months later the light came on again so l took it back to the shop and they claimed to replace the part again and cleared the codes. A few months later the light came on again so once again l was told that the part was replaced and the codes was cleared. The day that l picked up my car the light came back on within 10 mins of leaving the shop so l turned around and brought the car back. l made an appointment to return the following week to drop my vehicle off at the shop and allowing them several days to make the necessary repairs. l dropped my car off on a tuesday morning and by that evening l drove by and saw my car sitting in the parking lot. The next day l drove by at noon and my car was still sitting, at 2pm l drove by again and my car was still sitting in the same spot. l immediately called the shop to check the status and l was told that they just needed a few more moments because they was finishing up and they need to put the tires back on the vehicle. Once l mentioned that his statement was not true and l was aware that my vehicle had be parked since the previous day, he became very rude then stated that he was not sure of the status because he was inside doing paperwork all day. l asked for the manager and was told that he was out to lunch. When l asked for the number to corp l was told that it was unknown. l called back at 3pm and the manager answered, he informed me that the repairs were completed the following evening, it has be test driven several times and ready to be picked up. 20 mins later he calls back to inform me that my vehicle was driven one more time and the light came back on so they wanted to keep it overnight to make other repairs. Now l know what came out of his mouth but what l really heard was, "since this is under warranty and we are not getting paid, all we have been doing previously was clearing codes, keeping the car for a few hours and giving it back but since you are now getting corp involved we better do some kind of work on it just to look as though we have tried to repair the vehicle". l will assume the 20 mins is the amount of time it took the coworker to tell him that l was contacting corp. l don't understand the reasoning for not contacting me if my vehicle was completed the day before. ln fact not only was l not contacted the day the service was completed but l also was not contacted the following day, l called them at 3pm to check the status and if my car was ready to go and driven several times then what made them drive the car one more time after l stated that l was on my way to pickup the vehicle?

Price gouging and misdiagnosis

It started when my car ran out of gas and I had it towed to City Garage. I was charged a $100 diagnostic fee and I was told my spark plugs where bad. The next day my car died and I had it towed back. I was charged a second diagnostic fee and told my coil was now bad. They insisted it was unrelated to the first problem. Not only did they mis-diagnose my car they charged me double what the dealer charged for the part.
