Im sure future high school students might be moving to Cookeville to go to Tennessee Tech. I would highly recommend that you not move into Eagles Landing. The majority of the likes and comments on the Facebook page are people who work or who have worked here noticed they all are 5 stars. Additionally, you can obviously see that the reviews on this site as well as other sites are fake 5 star reviews. Why? Because they try to make up for the 1 or 2 star people like me. Eagles Landing has to be one of the worst places to live. Ive regretted moving into these apartments from day one. Unfortunately, i have until July here. The apartment i first moved into was gross, with dirty floors, nasty wall, smelled awful, the carpets were HEAVILY stained and so forth. If i would've seen my apartment before i signed my lease i would've taken my money elsewhere The company provides false advertisement, and much more. The company that owns these apartments are just as bad as the apartment complex themselves. Ive had to get my freezer repaired multiple times within the last two months, and instead of replacing our old refrigerator they keep "Buying Parts" that only mess up again, the apartment makes Approximately $2000 in one apartment between myself and my three roommates paying $450 a piece. Repairs are frequently needing to be made in my apartment of various items. Just to clarify, when you first look into these apartments they claim the "show room" is just like the other apartments, its not. When asked why they falsely have advertised this apartment, they claimed its not. When brought forth the question why future renters cannot view the apartment they will be paying for, they claim they cannot show you the apartment because its "Breaking and Entering".
These people don't maintain their properties. My wife and I (plus my mother) spent an entire night cleaning the apartment we moved into because they had not done so -- they had not painted, swept, vacuumed, or cleaned any of the surfaces (including tubs, sinks, toilets, etc) -- and the air conditioning was out... and it was August. My bad for not checking the unit before renting the U-Haul, right? It took them 12 days to do anything about the air conditioner (their solution was a window unit, installed "downstairs because cool air rises"); I still made them fix the central, because it was unbearably hot in the bedrooms, both of which were upstairs. They also don't keep their books very well, so always pay by check and always make sure you pay them in person to get a receipt, because they will not mail you one, and when they lose track, they will threaten to evict you immediately. (This happened to us, but fortunately, I've kept track of this crap.)
I'd give them -10000 stars if it would let me. These people are horrible. We had a major leak in our home that we notified them the day after moving in and it took them 2 1/2 months to even take a look at it, and ONLY because we had a video of how bad it was. We had no railing going into our basement stairs and there's hundreds if not thousands of dollars of water and mold damage in this home. Basically the main floor needs to be replaced, as the home is infested with black gnats from all the mold. We got out of there and filed a complaint with the Rental Protection Agency against them which includes all our pictures minus the 2 videos that we couldn't attach. I wouldn't want even my worst enemy to rent from them.
I never give feedback, but feel I must with this co. Even if it helps just 1 person. The wife, Charlotte is very controlling. This co. was illegally charging me for my E.S. dog even tho i had my paper to prove she was a support dog. Charlotte refused to look at the paper and told me she was being nice enough to "waive the $200 pet deposit" but would have to charge me $25/mo extra for my E.S. dog in case she ruined the carpet. This is illegal. She refused to accept my dog w/o charging me extra. I signed a lease with them and they rented my apartment to someone else! They werent even going to tell me! After I had put everything in my name. I also told Ariana a few days prior that I was approved for assistance for the 1st months rent and the check was on the way. I am now w/o a home and cant begin to tell you the time, phone calls, emotional stress Ive been through just trying to get things together for that property just to have them rent it to someone else!
i wouldn't recomend these people because they do not take care of their properties, since Charlotte gt in the picture it all went down to the drain! They used to be on the top best rental properties in Cookeville but now they are as bad as Sword Properties! Mr Bock is a great person but because of Charlotte now the whole company is in a bad rep! Do NOT rent from them unless you want to be cheated out of your money and end up with bad health! I would rate them -10 if i could and i have lived in one of their houses for over 4 years and i am ready to take my OUTSTANDING bussiness somewhere else! I would not want to waste my money on them or should i say...give it to Charlotte for free!?
