If I could give this place a negative star I would. So I returned a phone call today and spoke with Denise at Rockdale Psychiatric Office regarding my sister's paperwork for SSI. Denise asked for a fax number to get assistance in completing more paper work that another Associate and I had already agreed last week was no longer need in order to expedite my sister's already prolonged SSI application. When I asked why this paper work and fax number was needed, Denise displayed an attitude and hung up on me. I called back twice, spoke with Kathy and asked to speak with whoever hung up on me, Kathy stated Denise was the person, she was currently unavailable to speak with me, but was just trying to explain the paperwork to me and get a fax number (5 minutes after the incident) - basically justify her co-worker being unprofessional. Completely inexcusable! I expected better from Dr. Paulsen's office and her staff. I'm sure it will take a week now to get the "much needed" paperwork.
I have been a patient here for well over ten years. The ONLY reason I won't go anywhere else is because of Dr. Paulsen, Dr. Beasley, and Denise. As far as the office staff goes though, they really couldn't be more RUDE! They make it VERY obvious that they have better things to do than to answer your call and, God forbid, have to take a message. And leaving a message is absolutely pointless!!! You will never get a return phone call if you leave a message so don't even waste your time because it truly is a waste of time. It's weird though because Dr. Paulsen, Dr. Beasley, and Denise are SO caring. I can't imagine that they wouldn't call someone back so it leaves me wondering if they even get the messages in the first place. I've referred quite a few people to Dr. Paulsen, but every one of them ends up asking me how in the world I deal with her office staff. Sadly, every person I have ever suggested to that they should see her doesn't anymore simply because of the office staff. Now when I tell anyone about her, I have to explain how wonderful Dr Paulsen is but only once you get past the front desk. That's sad! That's a problem!!! And I hope they read these reviews and change something!
Very caring and concerned (at first). then they forget abou you and the medications you take, and if u remind them they either accuse you of trying to get more prescriptions or they will not answer you. After 6 months of that bs I said open your "fking" chart on me and you will see that you forgot to write a prescription and that there is no evidence of prescription abuse. They told me to go to another doctor. All bc they did not do their job correctly
I love the doctors at this practice, but the big woman who works at the front desk is extremely rude. I switched insurance providers and got a bit upset when I came in and found out I had to pay for my visit out of pocket. For some reason other doctors at the practice had been able to accept my new insurance and gone through the trouble of accepting the provider, but not the one I was seeing that day. This woman had the nerve to sit behind her glass window and talk about me to others in the office. I of course heard every rude word she said. I was only trying to understand why my insurance was not being accepted by the doctor- how dare I inconvenience her to do her job. Good customer service matters a lot to me, it doesn't take much to treat people right. I will unfortunately be switching doctors.

I have been a patient of this practice for over three years and feel like everyone there is a friend that wants the best for me, Courtesy and professionalism are always in use and yet there is a sense of comfort and ease when I walk in that's very relaxing. I feel like Dr. Paulsen has done research to better the opinion and treatment she gives me.She takes the time to listen to what's going on and doesn't rush me out to get to the next person. Joan is so easy to talk to and brings insight and wisdom into every conversation as well. The staff know me by name and are friendly and always ask how I'm doing. I hope to continue there for as long as I need help.

Dr. Annamarie Paulsen is a gifted healer and a wonderful psychiatrist. If you or a loved one need a psychiatrist who will work with you as a human being, give Dr. Paulsen a call. I am a therapist and I have referred many people (adults and kids) to her for medication evaluation and management. In every case, I have received positive feedback regarding patients' experience of her. I don't refer people to just any psychiatrist or therapist, because referrals reflect upon my own clinical judgment and I want to preserve my good reputation. I have complete confidence in Dr. Paulsen and will continue to refer to her.

I absolutely love Annamarie Paulsen. She has changed my life for the best in so many different ways. She really takes time with each patient and really gets to know you. I have recommended Mrs. Paulsen to all of my family and friends and I will continue to do so.
