Pie in the Sky Pie Co.

In a nutshell . . . take your business elsewhere. I thought I would give Pie-in-the-Sky a chance even though I had read all of the bad reviews on more than one site. And since most of the criticism was toward their restaurant side of the business, I was optimistic. I just wanted to order several pies. Boy was I wrong. I placed an order for Thanksgiving pies a couple of weeks before the holiday. $75 worth. Fast-forward to the day before Thanksgiving. I was instructed to pick them up after 3:00. I arrived at about 4:30 only to discover that one of the pies on my order was not available. Apparently, it had been given to another customer. At least that’s what they think happened. I asked how can this be? I had paid for everything up front (which is required by the way). How can something so simple be mishandled. Anyway, their no-apology attitude was offer a refund for the one pie. Or pick a substitute. I asked to speak to the manager. I got the owner. It was here that I realized the bad reviews are all true. The attitude and (lack of) customer service starts at the top. And apparently the poor service permeates from the top down. The owner has a no-care attitude. Instead of trying to make things right, maybe offering a replacement pie AND a refund for what I actually ordered, she basically said oh well, these things happen. I told her I was a new customer and asked why they ‘blew it’ on such a simple order. Her response . . . ‘how about all of your money back’. I gladly accepted. No way was I going to patronize a store (and owner) with that type of attitude. Wow. Pies are sold everywhere. Do yourself a favor and spend your money with people who really care about their customers!
