Excell Electronics bad business

I have a JVC plasma from 2005 that my parents gave to my boyfriend and I when we moved into our first apartment. The tv worked great and it was big, a 42', we loved it. After a year the tv wouldnt pick up the at&t uverse signal from the box, so we couldnt wathc tv. But we still used it for my boyfriends xbox, netflix to watch moving intsantly, and wathc dvds on the xbox. We called Excell and they said that we had to take the tv and they would give us a free estiamte in three days. After the first five days I called them and they said they still didnt have an estimate, I called back every three days, and finally after two and a half weeks I called and said if they didnt have an estimate I would just go and pick it up. They said they found out what was wrong with it and that they had to get the parts from JVC, so it would be around $250 for that and another $175 for labor. I told them thank you but we didnt quite have have the money and that we would be picking up our tv and bringing it back in a couple of weeks when we did. Or if anything just use it for everyhting else we had before and cancel our uverse second box. We figured we caould save money by only having one box to pay for uverse and save up to repair it or just save up to buy a new tv, either way the tv was a little old. When we picked up the tv we took it home and it wouldnt even turn on, at all. So i called them and the lady said she would call me back after she talked to the techs. Three days went by of me calling and checking in and finally she called me back and said " the techs said they dont know whats wrong with it, they didnt even open the bbox, so it was nothiing they did wrong to it". I asked how it was possible that they had qouted me and new what pieces they needed if they didnt even open it. That left her speechless, so she said she would talk to them again, after calling and calling for two days, no one picked up or returned my messages. So now I am left with our broken TV that wont even turn on. I was so upset taht they took no responsibilty, tried to repair the problem they had caused, even for a price. I have never had such a horrible experience. I would reccomend not to go there at all.

I apologize for all the misunderstanding with this issue about your JVC Plasma TV. Your JVC Plasma TV is one of the plasmas that first came out with a separate receiver box. In order for the Plasma Tv to turn on, it MUST be connected to the receiver. When you stated in your complaint that when you took it back home, it wouldn't even turn on was because the tv was not connected to receiver box. We ordered a new set of cables for your tv because the other set of cables were not found. PLUS, we also repaired your TV problem, which was making the tuner to work at NO charge to you. I hope that makes up for all the misunderstanding and we would love to hear a happy response from you in the near future. Thank you!
