Horrible! Worse experience of my life! I went to have 2 wisdom teeth removed, after about 4 shots of Novacaine I still felt EVERYTHING. After all the sawing & pulling I was bawling like a baby. The dentist left about 45 minutes to work on other patients while my teeth were halfway out and I`m in tears from the pain. He should never be allowed to practice EVER. Not only was it more painful than childbirth, the dentist was extremely rude and it was humiliating to be left alone with the procedure half done.
I wouldn`t wish this misery on my worse enemy.
Run don't walk to any other Dentist in Concord but him. He was very rude and impatient. I was trying to ask questions and he seemed like I was wasting his time. The equipment seemed old and the place wasn't very clean. I did not have a good feeling about him or his office so I left and went to Dr. Persinger in Concord a few days later and was very happy with the service from them.

I WENT TO DR SOBO DESPITE READING THE BAD REVIEWS PRIOR TO MY VISIT WITH THE INTENTIONS OF FORMING MY OWN OPINION ABOUT THE DR AND/OR PERSONAL EXPERIENCE. WHAT A MISTAKE! I WENT IN FOR AN EMERGENCY VISIT WITH A SEVERE TOOTH ACHE. THE OFFICE MGR.LIED ABOUT THE INSURANCE, SAYING THEY ACCEPTED MY INSURANCE AND I WOULD NEED TO PAY MY COPAY FOR THE VISIT AND THATS ALL. THEN HE SAID IF I LET THEM DO A COMPLETE EXAM/XRAYS AND BILL THE INSURANCE FOR IT THERE WOULD BE NO CHARGE TO ME BECAUSE THE EXAM IS PAID AT 100%, SO I AGREED. WHEN I GOT TO THE EXAM ROOM, THE DR TOLD ME I HAD TWO ISSUES CAUSING THE PAIN AND NEEDED AN EXTRACTION OF A WISDOM TOOTH AND AN EMERGENCY ROOT CANAL TO GET OUT OF PAIN. THE EQUIPMENT IN THE ROOM IS OLD AND LOOKS AS IF IT IS NOT CLEAN. THERE IS DUST ON THE MACHINES AND LOOKS LIKE THE LIGHTS THEY USE TO LOOK IN YOUR MOUTH AND CHAIRS ARE NEVER SANITIZED, ONLY HALF WIPED OFF WITH A RAG. HALF WAY THROUGH MY PROCEDURES, THE BILLING STAFF CAME IN THE ROOM WHILE I WAS BEING WORKED ON AND SAID THEY NEEDED TO COLLECT $700.OO THAT DAY FOR THE VISIT BECAUSE THATS THE AMOUNT MY INSURANCE WAS NOT GOING TO COVER! THEY COULDNT EVEN WAIT UNTIL THE DR WAS FINISHED DOING THE ROOT CANAL, AND HAD JUST HAD A WISDOM TOOTH PULLED. I TOLD THEM I DIDNT HAVE THAT KIND OF MONEY TO PAY TODAY AND THEY DIDNT CARE AT ALL. THE OFFICE MGR SAID TO BORROW THE MONEY FROM A FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER OR THEY COULD JUST SEND ME HOME WITH A PRESCRIPTION UNTIL I COULD GET ALL THE MONEY TOGETHER TO FINISH THE WORK!! ALL THIS EVEN THOUGH I GAVE THEM MY INSURANCE INFO TO BILL. I ENDED UP PAYING THE $700.00 SO I COULD GET OUT OF PAIN. MY INSURANCE PAID MORE THAN THE OFFICE MGR SAID THEY WERE GOING TO PAY RESULTING IN OVER PAYMENTS BY HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS AND THEY WOULD NOT GIVE ME THE MONEY BACK. I WAS TOLD THEY COULD APPLY IT AS A CREDIT TO MY ACCOUNT FOR FUTURE WORK TO BE DONE! IN MY OPINION, THIS IS STEALING MONEY!!! TWO WEEKS WENT BY AND MY TOOTH WAS STILL INFECTED AND MY FACE WAS SWOLLEN DESPITE ALL THIS. I HAD TO GO BACK TO THE OFFICE TO HAVE THE ROOT CANAL RE-DONE BECAUSE THE DR LEFT TISSUE IN MY TOOTH WHICH CREATED MORE INFECTION AND PAIN. THIS WAS THE MOST PAINFUL PROCEDURE I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE AND THE DR DIDNT EVEN MAKE SURE I WAS NUMB BEFORE STARTING THE WORK. HE GAVE ME THE SHOT TO NUMB MY MOUTH THEN BEGAN WORKING ON IT IMMEDIATELY. DR SOBO IS VERY ROUGH AND UNSENSITIVE TO PAIN HE IS CAUSING BY BEING ROUGH BECAUSE HE IS RUSHED. THERE ARE 7 OR 8 OTHER PATIENTS BEING WORKED ON AT THE SAME TIME, SO THE DR IS GOING BACK AND FORTH FROM ROOM TO ROOM WORKING ON ALL AT THE SAME TIME. EVERYTIME I VISITED THE OFFICE I WAS THERE AT LEAST 3 HOURS BECAUSE HE HAD SO MUCH GOING ON. THEN THEY BILLED MY INSURANCE AGAIN WHEN I RETURNED TO HAVE THE BAD PROCEDURE TAKEN CARE OF, ONLY TO FIND OUT THEY DIDNT BILL FOR WHAT THEY DID, INSTEAD THEY BILLED FOR THE TOOTH EXTRACTION SAYING IT WAS TWO WEEKS LATER THAN IT WAS SO THEY COULD GET PAID FOR IT!! THIS OFFICE IS COMPLETELY FRADULENT AND SHADY!! I AM STILL TRYING TO RESOLVE THE BILLING ISSUES TO GET MY MONEY BACK I SHOULD HAVE NEVER PAID. I STILL HOPE I DONT GET AN INFECTION FROM THE NASTY EQUIPMENT IN THE OFFICE!! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND SEE A DENTIST WHO USES EQUIPMENT FROM THIS CENTURY AND KNOWS HOW TO SANITIZE THEIR OFFICE WITH A STAFF WHO IS HONEST AND KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING!!!

This guy is a jerk. I would never work for, or be a patient of his. Also his long time employees try to intimidate you and be mean to you. He can't keep any assistants, I'm not sure about his hygientist. I would never let this man anywhere near my mouth. He also needs to catch up with reality, no one uses silver fillings anymore. That whole office is a joke and really needs an infection control course. HELLO is OSHA anywhere to be found. They didn't even bother to wash their hands in between patients. Can we say discusting. He didn't even have the decency to wear dress shoes on Monday morning. He wore some nasty old muddy Nike's. I would never reccomend this office or this dentist to anyone.
Starting off, all but one of his staff members are complete idiots and have no idea what is going on, including how to price your visit. One day they will tell you that your filling will cost one thing, and then when you call back to set the appointment they tell you a completely different price. Secondly, their prices are OUTRAGEOUS, especially for the dental work that you get done. He butchered my mouth and the fillings that he did on me fell out and a new dentist plus 5000 dollars later my mouth was fixed from the damage caused. And I hope that you have your whole day cleared if you have an appointment with him. I always show up about fifteen minutes early to my appointments, and I did every time I visited his office, and every time I wasn't taken back until about an hour after my scheduled appointment time. On top of that, if I was getting work done, he would numb me and then go away for 2-3 hours and then come back and try to work on my mouth. by the time he had come back, the numbing medicine had begun to wear off and he would begin drilling and I would scream out of the horrible pain it caused. My mouth would always be sore for days after he worked on it. Finally what really pissed me off was how rude they were to me. Yeah I know in my younger years I did not take care of my teeth as well as I should have, but when I am paying you to fix it, you shouldn't be constantly chastising me for it every time I come into the office. Most other people that I have talked to about him agree with me and have similar stories. Do not go to this
PERSONALLY I HAVE BEEN GOING TO DOCTOR SOBO FOR TWENTY TWO YEARS. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN TREATED FAIRLY AND VERY PROFESSIONAL. I HAVE BEEN VERY SATISFIED WITH MY TEETH AND HE IS A NICE GUY. I WOULD RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GO TO HIM BECAUSE HIS OFFICE IS VERY NICE. HIS EQUIPMENT IS STATE OF THE ART. I WOULD NOT BOTHER WITH ANY DOCTOR THAT MADE ME FEEL LIKE HE WASN'T DOING HIS JOB VERY WELL. IT IS MY MONEY AND I HAVE TO LOOK AT THE MIRROR EVERY DAY.
I THANK GOD FOR DR. PHIL & HIS STAFF AND I WILL STAY A SATISFIED CUSTOMER.
P.S. MY WIFE GOES ALSO (20 YEARS) CAVITY FREE.............

This man is VERY RUDE to his office staff and his patients. His staff is clearly stressed and it is quite obvious they dislike him. While I was being worked on I watched him reprimand a staff member who practically cowered in fear. The staff almost seems robotic. As if they are forced to be distant and blunt about their unwillingness to work with you. His equipment is very old and outdated.I was told that insurance would cover my work upfront and that they had verified it. Later I get a bill for a large sum of money plus finance charges. I call to straighten things out and they say they will resubmit it to insurance. This went on for several months all the while hefty finance charges were being accumulated. I attempted to pay my bill in full minus the finance charges since they couldn't get insurance to pay. They REFUSED! I asked to speak with Dr. Sobo himself and he refused to talk to or see me. I highly recommend you see someone else or at least get a second opinion.
