Would give negative stars if I could. My contractor recommended this guy for our kitchen remodel. We had not considered custom cabinet but our contractor said this guy was trying to get a lot of his business and could price competitively, plus it was Jan which was a slow time. So we met with him in Dec and he heavily pursued us and was able to meet our budget.

Plan was a 4 week kitchen remodel, we would need cabinets by Jan 23rd, made very clear when we signed the contract on Jan 2nd. We started to get a clue when he couldn't get us drawings to sign off on 2 weeks in. Then the paint samples looked AWFULLY and I could scratch with my fingernail. Come to find out, he had gone with a cheaper painter to get our bid, instead of a professional conversion booth finish, which is what he had showed us.

Then it got worse. Phone calls not returned, construction completely stopped in my home for nearly the entire month of Feb. I had a 6 month old and no where for him to lay and play as this man jerked us around. Turns out he got not paid grade doors, which wasn't really his fault, but that he didn't fix the problem before acting like he was doing us a favor. Also told the painter to putty the center of all of the cabinets and try to paint them to hide the mistake. These would have scratched right away, but painter told him he couldn't make it work. So cabinets were delivered a month late (now we are at 8 weeks) with no doors. And he wants more of the contract paid.

Then two weeks later, here finally comes the doors. Now its all the other stuff that is missing, the chalk board, pull out garbage can, TRIM, drawer fronts still missing. And the finish is full of nicks, flaws, and chips. We are trying to setup the painter to come back out and make it right, all he wants is more $$.

So rude, unreasonable, and off his rocker. I have been in retail for over a dozen years and know how to work with a variety of personalities. Got to the point where I could not have a conversation with this man. Too bad since the cabinets themselves seem solid.

Painter comes to do touchup, uses the wrong color white. Corkboard was 5 pieces glued together, scraps (it was a 16"x30" board, nothing crazy, Walmart sells better. Thank God the painter was more reasonable and wanted to make it right, so he re did everything. And Ray still screwed him out of part of his money. Had to make sure I got a release to cover myself.

Tried to look him up before signing the contract, could find him. His REVOKED license listed under RAYMOND HUERTA. Lost his other cabinet company years ago, Sierra Cabinets. Has also used his son and wife on licenses, either REVOKED or EXPIRED.

RUN AWAY, don't make the mistake I did. A 4 week project took 4 months. It was 11 cabients. Ridiculous.
