We visited this small casual Chinese restaurant for the second time last night and were just as impressed with the food as on our first visit. My husband and I ordered the whole fried rock cod with bean sauce (the other sauce options were sweet and sour or soy) and vegetables with glass noodles. The fish was absolutely fresh and fried to perfection. The sauce was a perfect complement. The vegetable dish was served sizzling hot in an iron pot . A bit different from the usual stir fry but delicious. What we really like about this place is that each dish we have tried has its own individual taste. It doesn't taste like all the dishes are seasoned with the same sauce like it does in so many Chinese restaurants. The food is also well presented, not just thrown on a platter. The staff is a bit stiff at first but warmed up as we asked questions and commented on how much we enjoyed the food.
I really enjoy my dining experience at the Golden Willow Chinese Restaurant. The food is excellent, offering low calorie, low fat, no MSG dishes. The owners/hostess/chef/staff have great customer service and always make you feel welcome. It's amazing how the hostess always remembers your name, what you've ordered in the past and even where you sat in the restaurant the last time you were there. She's always checking to make sure your dining experience is pleasurable
We just got back from Golden Willow Restaurant and what a wonderful experience we had. The food was exceptional. The best Chinese food that I have had in ages. The hostess/owner was such a joy to be around and makes everyone feel welcome. If she felt that you would not like a dish you were ordering she would let you know not to order it. As I said the food was out of this world. The best. Definitely will be going back over and over again.
I must have passed by this restaurant 10,000 times over the years. I just stopped here for the first time and all I can think is why didn't I try this place sooner? The service was excellent. The restaurant was bright and clean - not the case in a lot of other places. The food was the best I've had in the Concord area. Served promptly and hot, everything was fresh and flavorful. If you haven't eaten here you are missing a great experience!
I've been patronizing this establishment since the first day it opened and my 3rd son was born, (he's 29 now). Have since moved down south to San Diego and he to Hermosa Beach as well as my oldest in Texas but we all come back to visit and eat there, no one makes KP Shrimp like Mr. Luping. Nice family and great food. A hole in the wall so to speak that lives up to Holes in Walls reputation for great food, forget the atmosphere stuff.
Much better food quality than the other bigger Chinese buffets in town. Owner and staff are absolutely the nicest!! Variety of Chinese dishes, sushi and salad bar. Plus I always love a good soft serve ice cream for dessert. Not the standard bland and tasteless buffet food. The decor could be spruced up a bit but the food and service more than make up for it.
I have been eating at La Tapatia since the 80's. Lovin It always.. Hope you take the time and try out there wonderful food. Burritos are always big and never dry. Try the Chicken and Steak Fajita... Blows away the other resturants. What more can I say everything is good. Don't take my word on it just give it a try. Well enjoy your dinner..:)
The food is pretty good and as close to authentic as I can find around this area. The service is excellent; the hostess is the chef's wife and she is very friendly and will make sure you will enjoy your dining experience. I originally decided to check this place out because I read about the friendly service and I was not disappointed.
We have been going to this restaurant for 30 years and will continue to keep going as long as they are open. This place is a wonderful family run business with great food served with a side of kindness you just can't beat! My favorite the Kung Pao Chicken. Eat in or take out either way we leave with happiness for our taste buds.
If you come on a weekend (or Friday night) you'd better have awhile to wait. But I think it's worth it. The food is very good and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is really nice, and the wait staff are friendly & efficient. I love their Teriyaki Chicken!
