From Business: A hidden jewel of the Texas park system. Colorado Bend is situated in the Hill Country along the Colorado River and is home to Gorman Falls, a 65 foot waterfall paradise. Fishing, hiking, biking, kayaking and other great opportunities abound.
Motel has been completely renovated. RV park has new sites and the RV park has longer sites for bigger rigs and sites have been leveled and widened. Great place to stay for short or long term. New BBQ pavilion coming soon.
The place is neat, clean, and has fresh gravel and clean picnic tables. We were provided a grill on request. The location is less than two miles from par country club and within walking distance of Lake Proctor. There are two decent restaurants right down the street and a convenient store next door. If you like watch wild life there were deer across the street in the park almost every morning. If you stay at the park, the golf course will give you buy one get one free green fees. There were really good winter rates for the grand opening. Check out the website and Facebook page. The only downside (4 stars instead of 5) was the lack of public bathrooms and showers. Great place to stay
