For the past 2 years Crossroads World Outreach Ministries has been a blessing to the West Side of Columbus. They provide weekly food and host special events designed to meet the needs of the community they serve.Lately they've been getting a bad rap because the ministry partnered with a group to host an event but there was not a clear understanding of 1) what the event was to look like and 2) who was responsible for doing what for the event. There was a serious lack of communication and sadly people involved feel that they were taken advantage of, used and that the ministry is evil and immoral. This is by far not the case. There was simply failed communication that resulted in people feeling used. Apologies were given but apparently it is not enough for the parties involved. They would rather take to social media and express their feeling.I can only speak for what I know and that is that the heart of the ministry is to love the neighbor. It is my hope that they continue doing the amazing work they do. They are truly a blessing to the community who recently made a mistake.
This place exploits members of their community for donations and then lie about where the donations ended up, as they were not used for their purpose, which was to provide a community meal to the local homeless and destitute population. They take advantage of the working poor's generosity. I would not recommend supporting or providing any assistance to this organization in any shape, or, form unless you enjoy the feeling of being used and deceived. They are dishonest and immoral.
With the many different people and departments that make up the Ohio Ministry Network, they work together to provide support to around 280 churches and over 800 ministers in the state of Ohio and throughout the world. Between the events and the different ministries they effortlessly put on throughout the year, they also provide support to all people in our church bodies, giving opportunities to grow, extend their knowledge and build a better relationship with the Lord. When you look at the people that make up the OMN, on the 2nd floor of this building, they are just a great group of people who the Lord and love to serve people! I'm honored to know them and have the opportunity to work with them.
One member of the church known as victor who poses as a Shiping agent has duped so many people in an attempt to help them ship their car to Ghana. He Is criminal who pose as a Shiping agent in this church. Elders of the church have been made aware of this and they have turned a deaf ear to this shielding him. I believe a seventh day Adventist church has a goo reputation but this victor guy has staged the name of the church in the mad for a long time. What suprises me the most is none of the elders of this church have come out to advise this criminal about his attitude. I will never recommend any one to join this branch of the church for any reason and I promise to make sure this victor guy is punished. And the elders of this church including the head pastor must make sure this gentleman is kicked out of the church
On my way to what I thought was going to be a delightful lunch, I parked in the Bexley Centre parking lot in front of a sign that read 'Customer Parking Only'. Since Frank's Diner was in this Centre we thought we would be fine. However, we were confronted by the store owner of the Chabad Torah Center/Bakery (which I thought was a cute looking store and had interest in checking out after lunch since I appreciate a small business as much as anyone else). Anyway, this woman told us we could not park there since we were not coming into her place of business. To which I replied with two issues 1) The sign does not clearly state that the parking spot belongs to her store front (approximately 3 spots down actually and we paid attention not to park in from of the sign that did read "Torah Center Parking Only."). 2) I intended on stopping in after I finished my lunch. This woman was wholly unpleasant and replied with 'You're not interested in what I make. I serve Kosher food and you do not like/are not interested in it.' Completely offended that she would accuse me of such things without having any knowledge of who I am (basically judging me from my appearance) I told her that her Kosher food was because of a religious reason and I questioned her about religion. "Isn't religion supposed to be about tolerance and acceptance and you're judging me based on no knowledge of who I amI was completely offended and will not be found shopping at this establishment. I was basically told not to shop in the bakery. I feel this Bakery/Center is only welcoming to those of their faith/background and not to any others outside of it.Minutes later my friend pulled up to meet us for lunch, parked in the same space we were asked to leave, and he was not questioned at all... hmmm does this have anything to do with the color of his skin? http://www.dispatch.com/content/stories/local/2010/09/09/chanti.html
