This is the real deal. This is how martial arts training should be. I checked out some others around town and it was some watered down version, basically, play time.If you want to learn to defend yourself and others, and build up your confidence...this is the place.I have been training here for 3+ years. Working hard and earning my black belt!

My kids have been here for about 2 years now. One is in the Adaptive class. He has been doing so well, I am so pleased. After about 6 months here his doctor asked what we've been doing different because he was getting stronger and better balance. I told him about Xcel and his wonderful teacher. He even stopped in for a few classes to watch. My other son is in the other class and was very shy but had built great confidence and is more outgoing now. This training isn't just kicks and punches like some people think. It is so much more. From coordination and confidence to self-defense and fitness. I love it!
My children went here for over a year. Started with a trial class seemed ok. But as time progressed, we noticed they were lacking in classroom consistency, structure, technique correction, and a few other areas. This resulted in too many lectures that would last 15-25 minutes of a 60 minute class. Many were insulting to parents and students, as the instructors were comparing other children, not just mine, to their own. Had the nerve to tell kids that they could not do anything but martial arts to be any good, in one sentence, then boasted about their own daughter and grandson doing multiple sports and activities- but they were different and that most kids can't handle doing multiple activities. We addressed our concerns in a formal email and received a vague email in return.I hope this review helps someone so they don't waste as much money as we did. There are many great schools out there so please do better research than I did in the beginning is all I ask.Respectfully,Tim Steele
Training here has helped me in so many ways. I have made new friends. My confidence is so much better. I can focus better at work. I feel better and healthier. I would recommend this to anyone, especially women!
Simply the best! my 3 kids earned thier brown belts
