Chapter 9Gregor watched the water flash under his eyes as he clung to the bat. For a moment, he felt relieved to have escaped the rats. But the fear of hurtling through the air on a wounded bat quickly overcame him.Boots had her arms clasped so tightly around his neck that he could barely breathe, let alone speak. And what would he say to Mareth, anyway? "Wow, I'm really sorry about that whole thing back on the beach?"He'd had no idea, of course, about the rats. But hadn't the Underlanders tried to warn him? No, they had spoken of danger, but no one had specifically mentioned rats except the cockroaches. "Rat bad," one had said. And later they had talked about how much the rats would pay to bargain with Luxa. He and Boots could have been sold to the rats, and then what?He felt nauseous and shut his eyes to block out the churning water. The image of the carnage on the beach filled his head, and he decided the view of the water was better. It turned to blackness as the light from the fire diminished. When light flickered off the waves again he knew they were nearing Regalia.A group of Underlanders waited on the dock. They whisked the unconscious Perdita and her bleeding bat away. They tried to take Mareth on a stretcher, but he brushed them off and insisted on helping to carry his bat inside.Gregor sat on the dock, where Mareth had shoved him as they'd landed, wishing he could disappear. Boots was quiet now, but he could feel her little muscles were rigid with fear. Fifteen, twenty minutes passed, maybe. He couldn't tell."Up!" someone snarled at him, and he saw Mareth glaring down at him. The gash on his forehead was bandaged, the right side of his face bruised and swollen. "Find your feet, Overlander!" Mareth barked. Had he actually thought this guy was shy a few hours ago?Gregor slowly straightened his stiff legs and stood. Mareth tightly tied his hands behind his back. No question about it this time: He was definitely a prisoner. Another guard joined Mareth, and they marched Gregor ahead of them. His legs moved numbly. What would they do to him now?He paid no attention to where they were going. He just walked whatever way he was pushed. He had a vague sense of climbing a lot of stairs before he entered a large diamond-shaped room. There was a table in the middle of it. Mareth pushed him down on a stool by a roaring fireplace. The two guards stepped back a couple of paces, watching him like hawks."I'm that dangerous," he thought foggily.Boots began to stir on his back. She tugged on one of his ears. "Home?" she pleaded. "Go home, Ge-go?" Gregor had no answer for her.People were hurrying past the door, talking in excited voices. Some peered in at him, but no one came in.In the warmth of the fire, he realized he was frozen. He was soaked in river water up to his waist and shivering from the wind and the horror of what he'd witnessed. Of what he'd taken part in.Boots was in better condition. Her backpack seemed to be waterproof, and she was pressed up against him. Still, her toes felt like ice when they brushed his arm.Fatigue washed over Gregor, and he wished he could lie down, just lie down and fall asleep and wake up in his bed where he could see the car lights flashing across the walls. But he had given up thinking this was a dream. What had happened to the Underlanders? Perdita? Her wounded bat? And Mareth's? If they died, it would be his fault. He wouldn't even try to argue that.Just then Luxa appeared. Burning white with fury, she crossed the room and struck him on the face. His head snapped to the side and Boots let out a cry."No hitting!" she squeaked. "No, no, no hitting!" She shook her tiny index finger at Luxa. Hitting was absolutely forbidden in Gregor's house, and it had only taken Boots a few time-outs to realize it.

10/10 I loved it! My nails look great I got a manicure and a pedicure. They were very patient and nice. It was inexpensive and I will definetly be going back!
DISCRIMINATION! A client with developmental disabilities was treated poorly (harsh waxing - to the point that she needed to go to the HOSPITAL, rude service-provider) and when I called, the manager said they only provide services to “NORMAL PEOPLE” and to never send her back here. They refused to provide any kind of refund or service voucher. DO NOT GO HERE.
Please do not come here! Horrible customer service! I came here for the first time to have my standard gel manicure done, I was talked into getting the Nexigen "dip" manicure by the nail tech as she stated it was a better option than gel because it lasts longer and does not chip. I can usually go at least 3 weeks with the same gel manicure. After about a week my nails were all chipped and one came completely off! When I came back to talk to the nail tech the nail tech was away from her station and the receptionist told me to just stand and wait rather than letting her know I was here and then proceeded to go to lunch, 25 minutes late the nail tech finally appeared. After showing her pictures of my chipped and tattered nails she proceeded to tell me it was standard and refused to refund or re-do my nails. I WILL NOT BE COMING BACK, biggest waste of $60.00!
best place in town. great service, friendly staff, clean and reasonable prices. I have been coming here for years and can't go anywhere else.
The best manicure/pedicure in town. I feel welcome every time. Good products and they always have the latest colors
I have been to a lot of nail salons around the columbus area and I have to say this was the best experience I've had in a while. My nail technician was so attentive to details, and I'm a very picky person. I would give more stars if I could.
I have been going to lee and tony for over 12years and they have always given me good service, never had a problem with anything they have done for me they are like my 2nd family all love the whole staff cant wait to see them again.
TERRIBLE service. As you can see, the employees sit on there phones, they disregard customers. But let me tell you a little bit about my experience. So I come in, I get quoted on price as I only brought 1 of my credit cards and my available balance was only 50$. I got my nails done, and when it comes time to pay, the same girl who quoted my price charged me 80$. I was apalled because no one informed me of this change or I would have made accomadation. I was given attitude, I was disrespected, and treated extremely poor. Worst service ever, I would never reccomend anyone to come here, and if you do GOOD LUCK!
SUPER LENGTHY, BUT HONEST REVIEW!I really wanted to like Plush Nail Salon, but they kept falling short. I went there are four separate occasions before I decided to stop giving them my money. I initially went there because I wanted to try out Nexgen on my nails. The price was great, so I decided to give them a try. The first time I went, a young lady named Mary did my nails. She did an excellent job! My nails lasted for about two weeks, and I probably could have gone for longer if I didn't care about how much they had grown out.Anyways, I scheduled my second appointment with Jay. He was fantastic and did an excellent job! However, not even a week after getting my nails done, and entire nail completely came off. Keep in mind, I get the Nexgen overlay on top of my real nails, so that meant that somehow the Nexgen didn't adhere to my real nails. I just disregarded it as something that I may have done wrong, and accepted it as a loss.My third time visiting Plush, I let Jay know what had happened to my nail, and he had let me know that it could have been from chemicals such as thing that I may clean the house with. I took a mental note of that, and made sure that I wore gloves whenever doing household chores to ensure that the same thing didn't happen with my nails again. During that visit, I got the Nexgen overlay on my natural nails for the third time. That visit took place on a Thursday, and by Sunday I had ANOTHER nail to come off, and by Tuesday morning a second one had come off and I had lifting on several of the other nails. I know for sure that I hadn't had my hands around anything that could have caused the lifting because I was on vacation for that weekend. Either way, if I am paying over $40 for a service, my nails shouldn't be messing up after less than a week.I ended up calling Plush that same Tuesday that the second nail came off to let them know what happened, and how disappointed I was. I ended up speaking with Christina, the manager, and we she scheduled for me to come in on that following Thursday. To make a long story short, I went in thinking that my nails would be repaired for free (or at a discount), but I was offered a free soak off and told that I would have to pay $38 to have them redone. This offer didn't seem fair to me especially considering that it hadn't even been five days before my nails started lifting. I also felt like the manager tried to blame to poor quality of my nails on me by saying sometimes Nexgen doesn't work for people and gel may be a better route. Or that maybe it was because I didn't get a manicure with the Nexgen polish. It was like she came up with every excuse as to why my nails came off and started lifting instead of trying to rectify the situation and make sure that I was satisfied as a paying customer. I was then told that I could receive a credit to get my nails done another day. But this was only after I mentioned that I wanted to get my nails done for my wedding. Let's just say when I called the following week to inquire about my credit, there was nothing on my account. I even left a message and my number for the manager to call me back.Just beware! Ps. Since then, I have gotten Nexgen done at another salon with no signs of lifting or nails coming off. I got them done on September 20th at the other salon without a manicure. Which leaves me to believe the application at Plush wasn't done correctly, and it has nothing to do with my nails not agreeing with Nexgen or whether I had a manicure or not.
