Go anywhere else. Rent from anyone else. This place has the worse service I have ever received - of any kind - ever. After taking time off from work to get a hitch put on my car, I had to re-schedule because they overbooked themselves. When I returned on a Saturday morning, I had to stand in line for 50 minutes. It took 2 hours longer than I was told to install the hitch, and when it was done, the back door to my car no longer works. The 20% off they offered me does not financially cover my wasted time or gas spent on what will be at least 3 trips to them, nor does it cover the appointment that I missed while I stood in line Saturday. It certainly does not cover the aggravation of dealing with these incompetent people. I will never go to u-haul for anything again.
This is by far the worst company I have ever done business with. I have never had such an outrageous, ridiculous, irresponsible expereince with ANY other company. The part that is the worst, is that we (the public) seem to be able to do nothing about it due to the monopoly Columbia Gas holds over the Ohio market. If any one has other suggestions, I am more than open to hearing them.I am a long standing user of Columbia Gas, I have never paid a bill late. In moving to a new property, I decided to use them again. We called to to set up an appointment. They said the next available appointment was a week from then. I thought, you know, that's our fault so I can only be mad at myself for having a cold shower for a week. They then proceeded to tell us that our appointment time would be anywhere from 8:00am - 11:30 pm. ARE YOU F*CKING KIDDING ME?!? I thought... My boyfriend stayed home, cancelled his golf league, took off work and waited....for 15.5 hours. They finally came around 11:45 pm. Checked the gas, and told us there was a leak so they could not turn the gas on.The next day I had a plumber come ASAP. The plumber fixed the leak and I called Columbia again. When I called them, they said they had no record of any one coming to our property. Isn't that odd when I had seen their associate come to my house last night and was holding the work order for the gas leak??? After arguing with her for 5 minutes about this, she said she would send some one out today. Again....it could be as late as 11:30 pm.So I took the afternoon off of work, cancelled my coaching practice....and waited. Until 12:00 PM, when no body called and no body showed up. We called the emergency line. We were told we were not an emergency, so they would not be able to come. The technician on the phone told us that the concerns for their customers have been expressed by the technicians at company meetings, but nothing has been done about it. I just don't understand why Columbia Gas treats their customers this way. Just because you own the market, shouldn't mean you get to treat people this way. I mean, what does some one have to do to get a hot shower around here?!?!
