Changed my review to a 1 because since I've gotten the tattoo, the artist Shaun has been extremely rude to me, he has verbally attacked me twice and refuses to schedule my touch up appointment. Then he has his manager verbally attack me over text and strongly imply that I was crazy, and that i have no idea how to schedule a tattoo appointment. Don't go here, these guys don't know what professionalism is, or general decency towards other humans. Very stuck up. I'm at a loss for words at how much they lack self-awareness, and how little regard they show for treating a customer with any kind of respect.

So very disappointed in this place! I got two large tattoos done at this location by the owner Anthony maybe 8 years ago or so. Things sure have changed. Went for a short consultation and he didn't even seem like he cared. He seemed to have no interest in helping create a new piece of art. Just seemed to want to get me out of his hair so he could go on with his day. Very sad because I praised his skills for years and sent many people his way, just to receive horrible customer service and treatment. I highly suggest going somewhere that will take the time to get to know you and show interest in your wants and needs.

DONT GO HERE. Mario did my tattoo & I can't stand it. Or him. Was rude to me the entire time I was getting my tattoo done. Threatened to stop tattooing me because I was asking him about his background as an artist? He was sketchy. He was rude. Then after the tattoo he was being creepy & inappropriate. Mario is not a good artist & my tattoo is so SLOPPY! the line work is terrible. I was inpatient & just wanted a tattoo but now I complete regret going here. Please save yourself & go to one of the many other tattoo shops in Columbus!

I must say i was a little nevous about getting a tatto but once a I met Nicole she instantly made me feel comfortable. She was friendly and since this was my first tatto she answered all of my questions and made sure I understood what she was doing.. She made it such a pleasent experience. The shop was clean and neat. Thank you so much Nicole.

I have gotten 7 tattoos from Shaun and he has been so wonderful. I think these artists all have amazing talent and fair pricing. The shop is clean and fun to be in. Honestly the best shop I have been in and I have 10 tattoos total.

Only gave one star cause you have too. Worst tattoo " scratch" shop ever. Do yourself a favor and go else where. I've been getting ink for over 20 years worst tattoo I have ever got!!!!

I have recently had my first tattoo done by Anthony and the whole experience was great. He listened to my thoughts about a design and took that and turned it into exactly what I was looking for. Anthony was pleasent during the process and most of all is good at what he does. I would not hesitate to recommend him to my firends considering getting a tattoo. He probably won't be the cheapest artist you could go to but in my opinion , you get what you pay for. His fee seemed fair for the high level of skill he provides.

first a little background: I have 7 tattoos on my body. These tattoos were obtained from 5 different shops in various cities throughout Ohio (Brunswick, Athens and Columbus). Needless to say I enjoy the art of tattooing. However, I was never able to truly find an artist who seemed to share the passion and excitement I had about my ideas. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the tattoo's I have. But, at the end of the day I never believed the artist truly cared about the idea / tat.



A few months back I came up with a new idea. The idea was vague; barely a coherent thought and lacked the important details needed to accurately convey what I was looking for. I visited various shops in the Columbus area and tried to explain what I was looking for. In all instances I received haphazard responses with no display of enthusiasm at the prospect of bringing my hazy idea into focus. With little hope I contacted Anthony (owner) at Stained Skin. I met him, rattled off my now memorized idea and left the shop. I was nervous this was going to be the same old song and dance. I returned a week later to review the drawling Anthony had prepared, as well as jump into the initial phase of the tattoo. Quite honestly I was skeptical I would even enjoy the initial design. However, at first glance it was evident this shop and their artists cared more about the customer than other shops. Anthony took my disjointed array of thoughts and brought it together to form a design that surpassed my expectations and at the same time incorporated some of his personal flare. The actual tattoo process was seamless. Anthony kept the conversation going, introduced me to some great music and discussed what exactly he had in mind as we progressed through phase 1. Not only was Anthony great, but Andy (shop artist) and Joe (shop keep) were awesome as well. The shop truly understands the concept of customer service. All and all it was the best experience I have EVER had on the tattoo front. I believe I can safely stop my search for the ideal shop. My head is already spinning with the possibility of having Anthony spruce up my older tats and provide a new day flare to them. I recommend this shop to anyone, ranging from wile tat vet to tat virgin. Everyone in the shop will welcome you in and make you feel comfortable in the experience. Not to mention you will receive a design far exceeding your expectations.

Got a great tattoo from Andy. He drew a great design, did a great tatoo, did some very minor touch up for free. Andy is very skilled, very personable, and very careful.
