So disappointed with our trip there this year! We went on the opening day for Ohio Village and it seems like it you're not a museum member then they don't give two hoots about you! They closed the top floors for 2 hours for member lunches so we didn't get to see anything except the village and main floor. We should have been told ahead of time when we bought our tickets, so we can make sure to start at the top & work our way down and do village last. There were no sign or anything stating they would close half the museum. We drove over 2 hrs to get there and it was a waste, I don't think we'll be back.

Right Here In Columbus

I had no idea that we have such a great little museum right here in Columbus!! The Historical Society itself is very interesting and I enjoyed the exhibits ranging from wooly mammoths and Ohio wildlife to Prohibition and Kilroy.

The best part of the museum is in the back where they have a working replica of a Civil War-era town. We saw how people lived, learned, worked, worshiped and played back then. It was educational and really fun.

We have out of town family visiting in the coming months and we plan to take everyone to see the Ohio Village and Historical Society. It is a good time for a great price!
