I've been in Lindey's several times. Sometimes with friends who are ""regulars"" and sometimes with other neophytes.
The difference? A warm, friendly greeting and instant service and sitting there for up to ten minutes without a bartender acknowledging we are there (and it's not that busy) until we have walked out. Two strikes, you're out. We won't come again - with or without our friends.

Special occasion or not this is a GREAT place to go! We are new to the area and chose Lindey's for our anniversary. The German Village location is ""cool"" to say the least. The ambience is fantastic for a dinner with friends or a private dinner! I was very pleased with the food and thought the prices were very reasonable!

Wellllllllllllll...........Been here and was not really impressed until the bill came........Pow. Food was good and the service okay and the place was clean. Just way too much $$$$$ for what you get. There are just too many places that are as good, have better parking, and more comfortable. Would I go back? Maybe if the wife ask and it was for something special but don't expect me to drop by for a couple of beers and chat anytime soon.

Fantastic appetizers and great entrees. I don't even care what I order anymore. I can pick anything off the menu and I'll like it. The steak is great, but such a waste when there's so much more on this menu that I'd like to try.
For the price, it's definitely not a spot I'd go to frequently, but for any special occasion Lindey's is always a treat.

Perhaps the best Lobster Bisque in all the world...and if you doubt that, then you have not been to Lindey's. The service is spectacular and the food leaves the taste palate in blissful disarray. Reservation highly recommended. Ask for a quiet room if the ""main"" room too busy. Columbus apparently has a trend for noisy atmosphere in it's restaurants--but Lindey's manages to keep a classic romance, yet still adhere to this mantra. The patio is incredible in the summer. Can't wait to try to Sunday Brunch menu!
