Ding, nice and hot, Microwave fresh.

None of the dishes taste fresh, everything seems like they threw it in a microwave. Pizza is OK if you are drunk. Please make something fresh, and there kitchen looks like a dumpster.

If you want really good fresh pizza try Pizza Plus or Rubino's in Bexley

Always Great Food

I've been going there with my family since 1960 and the food taste the same as it did then. I always have a good time there and good service. I've been to Italy a few times and the food in Lido's is comparable.

Great food, horrible service!

I ate there for lunch one day during work. I had previously eaten there before with family and had great service and food. However, this lunch time was horrible. If you're by yourself or just with one other person, forget about being noticed by the waiters. They only catered to those in large groups (probably for a larger tip). Ironically when I was out with my family the previous dining experience the waiter we had (and I had this solo time) encouraged me to come on my lunch hour when he found out I started a job near by.

I had an hour lunch, arrived 5 minutes after I started my hour. I didn't get waited on until 20 minutes later and then, only after I checked with the waiter when I was able to get his attention (he was ""annoyed"" by my wanting to check to see if he even did place my order) did I get my food....with 5 minutes left to eat it. I watched others who were by themselves and they had the same treatment.

Needless to say I will never go to Lido's again for lunch. My tip: Only go in large groups - that way you won't be ignored. I would've left to go somewhere else but I guess I was just astounded by the blatant ignoring from the servers for everyone there solo and that by the time I got my order, it was too late to go elsewhere.

The food is great (try the stromboli) but the service there is highly lacking. Go for the food but don't expect much for service.

Avoid during the buffet

I went there on the day after Christmas, and none of my Christmas wishes were granted. I had the choice of three types of pizza, only one of which I would ever eat, plain cheese. The salad bar, by far the second best thing they offerred, and I am not normally a herbivore or, or realistically an omnivore. I much prefer meat, and the only thing on the buffet that had plain meat was some gristley calzone with no extra sauce on the side. Props to the hot wings, number 1, they blew everything else out of the water.

Then just before I was ready to leave a family came in and made one of their children crawl around on the floor and act like an animal to be fed ( I have pictures of this incident), needless to say I was disgusted, and I had no desire to eat more. Apparently no one else in the restaurant noticed this behavior including the wait staff, or they were worried about the tip they would get from the 7 person group acting like nuts versus the one person professional out for lunch by themselves the day after Christmas because their co-worklers were on vaction. Who knows? i will not be back for some time, and I am letting the owner/manager know what happenned.

Fabulous pizza joint for the family on Friday nights!

Lido's makes their own dough, which is a huge step above most thin-crust pizza joints. The service was good, servers were friendly and helpful. We ordered a large 'House Special' which had pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms which we enjoyed - but don't miss their dough toes - little bits of dough covered in parmesan and served with a flavorful marinara.

Not bad.

Lido's could never be described as romantic, and the booth seating is among the most uncomfortable I have ever encountered. Having said that, Lido's is a pretty decent place to eat if you are in the area. Their Ravioli Parmesan is tasty, and the Chicken Marsala is good value for money. Though we haven't tried their pizza, it is extremely popular, and it looks pretty good too. Lido's is not a place we would go out of our way to visit, but it's good if you're unlucky enough to be on Sawmill.

Good pizza

One of the better pizzas in NW Cols (which isn't saying much since most of the pizza in that area of town is mediocre). The pizza is quite tasty, but igreasy... so take some tums. The ""doe toes"" are also an interesting appetizer. In sum, while not the best pizza in Columbus, it is a lot better than the big chains.
