I went to Inspired by Ink a year ago, when I was searching places to get my first tattoo. When I walked in the staff answered any questions I had, let me sit in the lobby to look though their portfolios, and asked about my design. They never made me feel pressured to choose to get my tattoo there. I feel this is important. I was 18, probably gullible and a bit ignorant about the tattooing business, but they made me feel like a customer should. Now I have a wonderful tattoo with clean lines and great shading. They took my design and made it much better than I could have ever thought. I will be visiting them again for my next tattoo.
all these negative reviews are completely false! i was in there and got a tattoo done on saturday, and everyone that was in there were very nice, and very professional. not once did i think anyone was rude as some have said. if your looking for a great place to get a tatoo, this is the shop in columbus to go to. i will get all my tattoos done there.
I would like for everyone to know that as the owner, I take every review seriously. Unfortunately, we recently had to let an apprentice go. It seems they have decided to retaliate and ask people to leave negative reviews. While they are false, they can also be damaging. Inspired has been open and servicing the Columbus and surrounding areas for 10 years! I hope you will see past the hostility and come see for yourself. As a matter of fact I stand behind my business so strongly that I encourage anyone who has any type of issue to contact me directly. Here is my email inspiredbyinktattoos@yahoo (you are unable to leave the ending due to spam detection.) However, it is COM. If anyone should happen to have any type of issue, I am here to help resolve or guide you through it. Thanks for the support. We appreciate your business and we are here to make you feel comfortable and at ease. Have a wonderful day! ....Michelle

The staff is beyond rude and as non professional as you can get. I am an avid collector of ink- Not some this was my first time in a tattoo shop- so i just don't get the tattoo vibe type. I had previously lived in Columbus and visited inspired before and the former staff- was very professorial and courteous. It seems the former staff have all left the shop. What I found could be best be described as Scratchers with an attitude. I walked in looked at a couple portfolio's and the staff acted as if I should feel blessed to just be in their presence. The shop was far from sterile, and left me with the feeling i was in a Times Square Peep show booth. I didn't even want to sit down, never mind get tattooed. There are far better artists/shops who know how to treat a customer and actually give far better quality Tattoo's in Columbus. Save your self a ton of abuse and boatloads of regret when you get something that is by far sub par for the course. I was anything but inspired to get ink here...

I used to be a frequent client to this shop when David Tevenal worked there, but no more.
While Dave T. worked there, the shop had a real good 'home' vibe to it and I enjoyed my time there. Dave made every customer feel welcome and really took the time to get to know people. On top of his great salesmanship and personality, he gives the best tattoos in town. There is no doubt in my mind that he blows everyone else away.
After Dave left I tried to go back to inspired by, but things just weren't the same. Their artists weren't friendly and I honestly wasn't interested in any of their work. I didn't even feel welcome there. Not to mention the shop was a mess.

I have gone to Inspired for both of my tattoos and I have been nothing but pleased. Their one-on-one service, attention to detail and GREAT customer service atrracted me immediately. Ryan has done both of my tattoos and I am soo happy with how they turned out. He makes me completely comfortable and relaxed and talked me through the whole process. HE IS AMAZING!
Inspired is affordable, clean and and makes getting your first tattoo a fun experience instead of a frieghtening one.
I'll never go anywhere else!!!

WOW ! I just got my very first tatoo. Ryan is truly an artist. The blending and shading is just fantastick. So if anyone who was on the fence call Ryan and he will walk you through the whole process. He also helps you with the design. I enjoy art with a little lighter fair. Flowers is my thing. Ryan combined his ideas with mine and it came out beautiful !!! Thank you for a great first experience. I will definitely be back.

If you have an ink addiction and a tight budget, Inspired by Ink is for you. Hell, even if you have gobs of money, the work put out by IBI is worth every red cent. My friends and I have frequented the shop for the past couple years and those dudes have always been on point.
There isn't one ounce of pretension in the air at IBI. The artists are friendly, good-natured guys who are open to your tattoo ideas and can expand upon them, taking your creation to a level you didn't know existed. And if you like good conversation while you sit, these guys are intelligent and hilarious. Don't like talking? That's cool, you anti-social jerk, but these guys can be chill and stay quiet, too.
If you're a first-timer popping in to get a for-the-hell-of-it tattoo, you might not want to go anywhere but IBI to get your second. These guys are just that good. I'm saving money as we speak to go back and get another Whalebone masterpiece.
To the guys at IBI: Keep up the kick-ass work. I've been checking your photo albums on Facebook and dig the new stuff.
