We have been taking our beloved Golden Retriever Rex to Dogs Only for several years and hold Dr. Prescott and her staff in the highest regard. The care that the Dogs Only team provides is nothing short of superior and we value the personalized experience we receive each and every visit. From major surgery to routine physical exams, I am confident that our pooch receives the best care from the best people and for that we are truly grateful. While I can't attest to the experiences of others, I without hesitation recommend Dogs Only as they possess the right people, knowledge, and expertise to provide unsurpassed care.
A special thank you to Dr. Prescott, Sarah, Lori-Ann, and Kathy for all your dedication in what you do. This passion and drive is why the Dogs Only team is the best.
I first want to defend Sarah, the manager. She has been helpful and understanding and does not get included in this review. Regardless, the experience we had today at DOMC was regrettable. We've been patients at two other clinics in the time we had owned our dogs and NEVER had such a negative, unprofessional experience (or anything close).
The vet tech was very disengaged, dismissive and disrespectful of our wishes when we described the type of medication we needed for our dogs. We had to repeat things several times before she would listen and even then she was disrespectful and kept pushing an alternative when we clearly declined it numerous times. She did not have the first clue whether the office would be able to vaccinate for Leptospirosis and said many times something to the effect of "well, um, i'm not sure." She clearly didn't have a clue what was going on. When my wife requested to go back with our dog to get the blood drawn this request was granted, but from what I hear vet tech showed very little care and grace when trying to draw blood. Our dog has never once had an issue with it, or yelped or anything, but for whatever reason the vet tech was not able to take care of him. She did not get the blood drawn and only managed to jab him deeply and repeatedly with the needle. From what I hear, she did not do anything to ensure his safety on the table used and almost allowed him to get free and fall off. This is completely unacceptable and our interaction with her set the tone for the whole experience.
We then requested to speak privately to Dr. Prescott about what had transpired and we encountered the same, if not greater dismissive, disrespectful and condescending attitude. I was absolutely shocked. She repeatedly told us we were wrong in the form of acting surprised at what we told her, defending the vet tech and her actions and saying "well, no one else has ever complained" "everyone loves our practice" etc. Not taking the time and effort to listen to new clients is an incredibly bad business move. Dismissing their concerns and doing absolutely nothing to correct or put people at ease other than telling them they are wrong is so rude I can't even explain. Never once have we encountered a vet who seemed to care so little for anyone but herself and what she thought.
Rest assured, we will never come back. We will NEVER recommend this practice. In fact, we will go out of our way to caution anyone who asks us against going to this practice.
2/27/2015 Beware this place practices the art of extortion!! My little dog (Nitro) was experiencing pain from his front teeth. I knew he needed some of them pulled and the rest cleaned, so I went here and asked for an estimate to have it taken care of. They gave me an estimate of $680-777.00. I thought that was high ,but I reluctantly agreed because he is so small (6lbs),and they assured me of their experience in such matters. After dropping Nitro off to have his teeth taken care of, I receive a phone call,informing me that my dog was unconscious on the operating table and that before they would pull his teeth it would require another $800.00 cash!!!! Apparently I did not understand that their estimate covered everything you could imagine except for pulling his teeth!!! My poor dog went through all of their crap for nothing because I don't have more money to give them they did nothing for my dog except clean his teeth.So I paid 750.00 for his teeth to be cleaned. It must cost over 200.00 per tooth to pull them,because according to my receipt I had paid for everything but the extraction cost. When I confronted them over why my bill doubled We were made out to be fools because we didn't understand their estimate,all I know is my dog still has his bad teeth and I am out $680.75.When I tried to talk to Dr Prescott about this issue we were belittled and she even threatened to call the police because we dared to say something about their EXTORTION METHOD OF CALLING DEMANDING MORE MONEY FROM YOU WHEN YOUR DOG IS ON THE OPERATING TABLE .WOW !!I JUST CANT BELIEVE THIS IS HOW THEY DO BUSINESS..nOW I HAVE TO SAVE UP AGAIN FOR NITRO'S TEETH.APPARENTLY AN ESTIMATE IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH HERE SO BEWARE .NOT NICE PEOPLE HERE AT ALL..MONEY NOT DOGS ARE THEIR MAIN CONCERN. DR PRESCOTT IS EVERYTHING YOU CAN THINK OF ,BUT A PROFESSIONAL.VETERINARIAN....
As a hospital nurse of 17 years, I have dealt with endless "difficult dr.s." Dr Prescott is not one of them, by far. The Dr. & her staff spent extensive amount of time on education. Nothing was done to my dog without my consent, there were no hidden charges. The staff were so friendly that they felt like friends. I would recommend this place to anyone, no worries.

Dr Prescott and staff were wonderful. I brought my dog to see them for a fractured tooth. Dr Prescott explained to me about the different options for my dog. I especially appreciated being able to exercise my dog in their fenced in back yard while I was waiting. It was so much easier than keeping a curious and active dog corralled in the waiting room. Also I appreciated Dr Prescott inviting me to view the crown procedure on a police dog. It was very interesting and also encouraging to see how comprehensively a dog is handled during your dental procedures. I appreciated the timeliness of your processing my dog from exam to recovery and the timely follow up on his status after surgery. My dog is back to normal after his procedure and pain free.

I just moved into the area and have been to other animal hospitals in the area. I was happy that I found Dogs Only. The staff and doctor are warm and cheerful. They seem like they truly care about their patients and clients. They gave me some advise on many different pet products. They did not carry the products so they were not just trying to sell you something. The lobby is not cluttered with a lot of products which is a plus. The hospital smelled clean and did not have an animal smell that most places have. I love the list of different groomers and boarding places they recommend. I think I found our new doctor for our dogs.

This place just gave us a bad feeling. Our ""FREE"" visit cost us $145. They don't ask you before administering treatments, then they throw the bill at you at the end of the visit.
Giving my dog bones and chicken treats doesn't make up for the fact that we were not engaged as dog owners. Don't tell me what to do, suggest to me what I should do and then tell me why. I prefer vets that educate, rather than dictate.
I found Dogs Only was clean and the process for the visit well organized. I also appreciated that the focus was on the health of my dog – not an attempt to “sell” me on a product that just happen to be available in the lobby. Everyone was very professional, polite and showed genuine concern for Shasta. Dr Prescott was very kind and made sure I not only understood the proposed course of action, but that I also agreed with it. Towards the end of the exam Shasta was beginning to calm down, I think she was becoming comfortable – She’s always hated to go to the vet.
A puppy is a new adventure for our family and Dr Prescott has been great helping us all settle in. The doctor and staff sat down with us to answer all of questions. I really like when the nurses write down everything that has been discussed. Our puppy is always happy to come in; she knows that the staff really loves dogs. I am totally confident that our puppy will receive the best of care.

We were very impressed with your dental services. Thank you for taking such great care of our dog, Cody. He is doing very well, he was so excited when he could finally play ball again. Cody?s crowns look amazing and we are happy that we could preserve his teeth. Everyone was wonderful and very caring not only about Cody but me as well.
