My saag paneer, while tasty, had something crunchy in it. I spat it out, and it had LEGS. I'm not overly fussy, but this thing was almost 1/2 inch long--how do you miss that in a creamy dish? On a postiive note, they were quick to refund my money when I went back and showed them the leggy addition. In less insecty-news, my partner had tandoori chicken: rather tasteless and very very dry. I won't go back.

I was very surprised at the number of stars this restaurant received. The food here did not taste terrible but it was average at best. The naan was soggy and the chicken was dry. I could not figure out if they messed up my order (after asking about it a few times--I even pointed to it on the menu) or if they just ran out of everything that was supposed to go into it. It was supposed to be chicken, potatoes, peas, cauliflower, broccoli and rice. It came with chicken and rice, no vegetables at all. I figured this is why it is take-out only--by the time you get home and open up your food it is too late to return it. Also we kept hearing a microwave beeping, which to me, is pretty unacceptable. I could make better Indian food at home and probably spend less money.

I live just down the street and tried Curry & Kabab the first time when there was a blizzard and I couldn't go much farther. I initially balked at the prices as I shelled out close to 30 dollars for two meals for my boyfriend and me. When the roughly 15 minutes it took to get the food ready to go was over, I breathed a sigh of relief. I was given a very full grocery bag full of food to take home that day.
The food was very flavorful; I have not had a dish from there that i disliked. I would perhaps like to get more bread for a cheaper price, but there is plenty of rice to eat with the curries anyway. All in all, two of us ate three meals apiece from the $30, so I figure the price isn't really that bad at all. Go ahead and check it out!
As for those who say that this isn't true Indian food, I really don't think that matters. Curry & Kabab claims to serve what is in the name of the restaurant, not Indian owned and operated. They do make some delicious food, even if it is different than strictly Indian cuisine. Don't let that stop you from enjoying a tasty meal from the restaurant.

Heaping portions for when you want something cheaper than sit-down. It may only cost a few dollars more to go to a nicer place, but these guys are fast, and you don't have to deal with a rude/awkward waiter like at some of the other places and feel obligated to tip anyway. Great deal.

The food here is ok, but they have definitely priced themselves out of my business. They raised the price of all their dishes by two to two and a half dollars, and raised the price of their breads by between 50% and 100%, which means you're going to pay $13 for a TAKEOUT meal, not including a drink. Order for four people and you're up over FIFTY BUCKS. For TAKEOUT? No more for me. You can get a sit-down Indian meal for just a little more than this. Cuisine of India has a bread basket that gives you a variety of bread at a lower price, so you're not spending $12 on bread.
As for the food quality, we ordered two dishes that were supposed to have creamy sauces but didn't seem to have creamy sauces. Not sure what happened. Maybe high food prices are having an effect? Perhaps ... but other restaurants seem to still be able to make their creamy sauces creamy.
Some of the vegetable dishes seemed to have an abundance of squash, which I just consider space-filler food. For these prices, I don't want filler.
The quantity of food was more than sufficient. Maybe the solution is to make the dishes smaller and charge less for them, that way we can get a good variety without breaking the bank. I won't be going back unless the prices come down somehow.

I too was exited for some reasonably priced, fast idnian food ! The take out place is in a strip mall. By far the worst tasting, saag paneer and chicken tika masala I have had. It is Bangladeshi owned and not indian owened. Sorry to sound discriminatory, but simply extremely poor food, and cheap environment and the cook simply does not kow how to cook!!!.
The owner and children were very friendly AA++ for that. FOOD gets an huge F- . The only thing palatable was the naan. BTW - teh price is outragouse for indian takeout. $30 for 2 dishes !! Come on ! I hope the owner takes this in stride and improves the food. For the less knowledgeable american, this may be passable but for one who likes indian food and eats it often - SIMPLY YUCKY!!!
I hope this review helps them to improve their food!

My boyfriend and I were so excited when this place opened near us. Unlike the other Indian restaurants nearby, the service is quick and friendly, and the food is incredibly flavorful and delicious. We love all their soups, the samosas, the naan (especially the garlic naan!), and we're working our way through the entire vegetarian entree menu. We've loved all of it, but the chana paneer is our favorite so far. I love this place SO much and it saves us from the nastier options on the nights when we don't have time to cook.

We love this place so much we have to limit ourselves to once a week. Even writing this review is making me hungry. I like mild, my boyfriend likes so-spicy-it-burns and they are able to do both. Lots of vegetarian dishes. We love the curry, the naan, the samosas etc etc... You can't go wrong! The service is friendly. The dishes are prepared quickly. The prices are completely reasonable and the portions are big. I can never finish, but knowing there are leftovers in the fridge is what gets me out of bed in the morning.
We'd love it if they also opened up a place closer to the OSU campus for lunch. They'd make a killing. Hey Curry & Kabab if you need investors to make this happen, give us a call!

We have been to Curry & Kabab twice since its opening and we very much enjoy it. We are locals in the neighborhood and are very excited about this restaurant. It is reasonably priced and very good. The owner always comes out to greet us, which is very nice and personal. As I mentioned, the food is very good. Always exactly as we order it. It has a good amount of spice, not too much. The curry is creamy and robust. The desserts are wonderful. My husband and I always order and appetizer, 2 entrees and 2 desserts. We usually get out of there for under $24 total. A deal for such good food and kindly service.
