We adopted Michaelangelo (now named Bailey) at around 8wks old. He is now nearly 18 months old as of Nov 2017. Everything went so smoothly as compared to the large shelters which are often chaotic and make the animals anxious. He has been a pure joy and we are so glad we found him! I recommend CHA wholeheartedly, and you can also support them financially by selecting them as your donations choice on amazon and/or adding them to your Kroger account.

I had a great experience with CHA. We adopted Ringo (Doberman) about two years ago. He was 12 weeks old. We took him home the day we saw him. I have since sent photos and updates and CHA has always been so interested in seeing them. Please contact CHA and judge for yourself. Don't leave animals languish because you think there is a possibility someone will be rude to you. They are very busy and very dedicated. Many volunteers.

Don't go there! The people are rude and are too quick to judge. They act like they don't want to adopt the dogs out. I can well afford a dog, had excellent vet refs and a very healthy, happy dog yet I was made to feel like scum. I am not the only one treated this way. I went to another shelter and got a dog. I only gave a one star because there is nothing less.
