I have not had much on the menu, but the romano crusted chicken is more than enough reason to go back. It's one of those things where I'd like to try other stuff on the menu, but it's just so good that I find myself ordering it every time. I'm only giving this 4 stars because I've been in larger parties where several people were disappointed with their food (one of these occasions was an Easter brunch so I know that's kind of a crazy day where things are bound to go wrong) so I dunno. In any case, I'll keep going back and keep ordering the romano crusted chicken until it lets me down. So far, so good! Also, I think it's worth noting that the staff has always been helpful anytime there was an issue, and they have always been nice in my experience. A little niceness goes a long way!

My husband and I came in from Indiana to visit our son who goes to The Ohio State University(Go Buckeyes!) last weekend and we wanted to have a hot breakfast before touring Campus with our son and found this little Diner not to far from his apartment off Weber Road. I wasn't too sure what to expect, not knowing the area, but what a pleasure, the food and service was GREAT and even got to talk to the "new" owner , who made the experience even better, she apologized for our slight wait , but I understood , they were very busy and a new cook, but as I explained it gave my husband and I a chance to "tie" our son down and see how the past 6 months away from home has been..lol..Service was wonderful, we will definitely add Louie's DayBreak Diner to our Favorites...Tom and Barb Walker..
Rosemary fries are adictive. Burgers are bigger and tastier than their competition - but priced higher too.Service is excellent, but, the "I" instead of "we" implies only the waiter was responsible and not the rest of the staff. As a manager myself who is focused on team building this is very disconcerting. Then there's the guy who thinks I can't pour a shake from the mix cup to a glass. I'm not an eight year old! But that strawberry shortcake shake was excellent.Since it was a nearly two hour drive to get there from western part of the state, next time I get to C'bus I'll most likely end up at Thurmans, closer, bigger burgers, better atmosphere etc.Bottom line: food four stars, service would be four but for the above, so can't say better than three stars. Sorry Michael.
Yes, the se[ING was well lit and the atmosphere friendly. I was hoping for a quite more romantic venue but I guess you don't get that in a bistro. The Vegetable Plate that my girlfriend had asher main course was quite fantastic. It showed a lot of thought was put into it and not just a mishmash of freshly cooked and prepared veggies. We started off with the calamari which was very good and wonderfully seasoned. It was my dish that kind of disappointed me. The sticky rice was a bit hard on the edges and the red snapper, although light and flakey, just didn't have enough seasoning to make it pop. Overall a pleasant experience.
My only gripe with this place is that they have delicious, self-serve coffee outside for the people patiently waiting for a table, but you can't add it to your tab if you partake. I never carry cash so I had to run to an ATM just to make sure I didn't end up on Santa's naughty list this year. Other than that, it's heaven. The food is excellent, and the portions are more than generous. This is hearty, southern-style comfort food right in the heart of Ohio! Can't wait to hit it up again, but I will be sure to have a couple bills in my pocket before I get there :)
Visited here during the previous summer. I ordered their weekly special, a steak, potatoes, and vegetables option. The steak was WAY overcooked and hard to cut, the potatoes appear to have been made from a box, and the green beans were from a can! I couldn't believe it! By the time our server asked us how our meal was, we just mumbled off and avoided the question so we could get out of there as fast as possible!
You must have been having a bad day. I'm there several times a month and that's only because of the friendly service. I see it all around me, it's not just me that gets that treatment but everyone. Food is always fresh and good, but not like something better than anywhere else. It is the people that make the difference. The real challange of eating here is to try and get to the bottom of your coffee cup.
Nasty's is a wonderful place to hang out with friends. I have been visiting the place since last December and the service has always been consistent and the people there are friendly. I have had excellent service from the Managers Bryan, Kim and John and wonderful servers Erin, Brandy, Brittany and Brook.... Love it there..... feels like the bar in the show Cheers....
I went there a week ago on a Saturday night with some of my friends. At first I thought "Nah not my crowd", but when I saw the security they had at the front door I thought I'll try it out. This guy is freaking huge tall and big! However he was really cool, but he didn't play. The chicken and drinks were good also. I had a good time and I'll be back this week.
The food is awesome. The atmosphere is fabulous. Jonathan is the best server in town. He remembered me from a previous visit and even remembered my drink preferences. He is efficient, friendly and fun. I would have returned for the food alone, but the staff make the whole experience worth many return trips.
