I swear he's my guardian angel AND the HEART and SOUL of his business! He doesn't just service imports- he knows about and works on ALL makes and model cars!The integrity, the kindness, the patience, the respect, the knowledge - not to mention, his reasonable prices and complete passion he has for the work that is done there; makes him the BEST of the BEST! I usually don't take the time to write reviews but I couldn't resist giving him kudos for his awesome work and character. I wont take my car anywhere else 'cause I found someone I can trust and I happen to like it done right the first time :)I hadn't been there for about a year but when I called him last week with an urgent situation I was experiencing with my new used car (Toyota Avalon). He not only remembered me/my voice over the phone- he took me in based on the symptoms my car was having (even tho it was one of his busiest days) 'cause he felt it wasn't safe to drive! His priority are his customers! My car was running horribly but he squeezed me in while I waited that same day and ... now my car runs like BRAND NEW!!!When I first got there, he test drove the car and knew IMMEDIATELY what was wrong. He also test drove the car himself AFTER the repairs, to be sure the symptoms were no longer an issue. He is BEYOND BELIEF- and I can always count on him. This respectable man is a rare find - a nice family man who treats his customers like one of his own family! His place is clean and comfy as I watched TV. All I gotta say is GOD BLESS HIM and thank you, Nahm, for always being there!
I have been using Full Automotive for almost twenty years. Mike is a very good experienced and most importantly honest mechanic. The store front and waiting area is unimpressive, but the results are good and the repairs done need to be done. I had two experiences that really sold me on Full auto.I went in to a local tire shop on Wilson and Fisher for a deal on an oil change and "complimentary" inspection, when I was informed I would need a costly strut replacement and alignment for about $600! Knowing that the 3 year old car with 51 thousand miles had driven and handled beautifully, I ran it by full automotive, and had the struts checked. He said there was absolutely nothing wrong with them. He told me he would let me know if I ever needed to replace them, if I did not notice it first. I traded the car in 5 years later with 113 thousand miles and the struts and car were still great. Had west-side Toyota dealership quote me over $1,200 (to start) to work on a significant problem with Camry after a thorough engine and system analysis. Even then they could not be sure it would fully correct the problem. Full Auto took an OBD reader and within minutes told me exactly what the problem was and the cost was $450 (majority for Toyota part) - repair was spot on. The dealership was off the mark on the needed specific repair they were trained to repair!Full Auto does good work at a fair rate, and does what needs to be done. They even let you know you can wait on certain things if they are not quite ready for service or inform you of what will need to be done in the future. Pretty store front and nice waiting area are lacking, but honest and knowledgeable mechanic owns and operates this long standing west-side business.
This shop is great for SMALL fixes. The one's they can't over charge you on OR charge a storage fee, since their on a small lot & take on so many clients they can't get to u as fast as they would like. But still want that storage fee instead of saying u have a choice to come get it or be charge. 1st issue. Charming, well educated, very skilled workers, luv that part. But when when a customer is charged for something they wanted done, & they don't, big problem. When small parts like an oil stick is broken & the owner knows it wasn't, but they say it was like that when it came in, Wrong. When a customer is coming in there to spend well over a thousand dollars, you might wanna rethink how u do business. And on that note, The OVERCHARGE for labor is insane for such a small business, U'd think u were getting taken advantage from a dealership for some of the labor charges. Some not all, i have been there for smaller things, and they treated me good on price. But after that last job, sadly i will not be returning. over charged, esp on parts we all know how cheap they get them, profit is not worth being greedy. Not doing things customers ask for, thats a biggie with any customer, things getting broke n not fixing it that is just wrong. I have went to well know company's and had fair prices "even if they are a little pricey" and it was cheaper than going here. After my experience here, i'd rather start using back yard mechanics, at least they keep it blunt, and work with ur budget. Enter at your own risk.
I had just bought my daughter a 2002 Saab 9-5 Aero in Portland Oregon. It drove across the country to Louisville Kentucky without issue. In Laramie Wyonimg, with 35 mile winds I attempted to top off the oil and proceeded like an idiot to pour about 1/3 of a quart all over the engine trying to get the pour stream to go in the oil fill, and then stuffed the oil can into the fill, most likely overfilling the engine. To say the least we had oil everywhere. After dropping my daughter in Louisville, I was to borrow the car to drive to Pittsburgh to see a client. Just before Wheeling, Pa., the car threw the Serpentine belt and my trip was over. I emailed 3 shops in town on a Sunday night while stranded on the side of the interstate. Dave, the owner of the Saab Shop, was the only one to respond back to my email for help and called me to assess the situation. I had AAA tow the car back to Columbus, Oh. 115 miles to get it to The Saab Shop, and stayed the night. Monday morning, Dave and crew dropped everything, worked on getting all the oil off the motor, and replaced the belt and pulleys in less than 5 hours from the time they opened. These guys will go out of their way to please their customers and help others if they have the opportunity. Thanks to all for being there in my time of need. I was able to make my flight back to Oregon without incident because of these guys, thus saving me more money. I would highly recommend. Ted and Dave are great. Saab Shop A+!!!! Chris O'Neill
Wow...where to begin?? This man is AMAZING! My car was vandalized Thursday night Jan. 31st. We didn't realize it until Friday morning February 1st. My car is a 2006 VW Beetle with leather seats, the window had been shattered and the glass shards were all over my passenger seat and carpet. We were really worried about the glass cutting up the leather, AND the very cold air ruining the leather as well. Needless to say, we needed to choose the company that could replace my window the quickest. Safelite quoted us $212.78 and said they couldn't do it until Monday *sigh* so we set up the appointment but continued calling other window replacement companies. We called many others, but ONLY CLEAR VUE AUTO GLASS agreed to get us in THE VERY SAME DAY! Woohoo! THEN, to further impress us, the owner beat Safelite's price by $43.61 LESS than Safelite quoted us! So my husband drove my little car in the freezing cold to Clear Vue. The owner not only replaced my window, but he used a vacuum to remove every last shard of glass out of my leather seat, (not one scratch on the leather!) out of my carpet, even out of the (extremely hard to reach) inside on my door panel! Which was a huge deal because I have OCD and if I would have heard glass rattling around inside my door it would have made me crazy! LOL! THEN, as if we weren't impressed enough already, he swept my carpets spotless, THEN cleaned & polished my dashboard! I'll never use anybody else again! A+++++ Thanks again! :-)
Fantastic place to purchase a vehicle or to have one worked on! I had our car in for service today and they went above and beyond and did a beautiful job washing the car as well. The General Manager (Freddy Tamayo), Service Manager (Tim Kerrigan), Service Advisor (Frank Guinta) and others were helpful, friendly and professional. Tyson Harris (a Salesman) struck up a conversation with me while I was there, and he was very nice. They have a beautiful new dealership that is accross the road from where they were. It's super nice. Our daughter love the children's play room - where I watched a movie with her. I overhead a salesman do a thorough job explaining the ins and outs of the new car the person was there to buy. There was trail mix to snack on and a variety of drinks to choose from, as well as comfortable chairs and a television in the waiting area.I walked outside and took a look at some cars. They were clean and I looked more than once down a row of cars to see how straight they were. I've worked at dealerships before, and that wasn't easy. A couple of other cool things were the super fast service entry doors! The other was a huge fan in that area. All in all I was treated very well. The atmosphere was professional, and staff was helpful. I love our Subaru, and would highly recommend them. It's roomy, has a nice ride, and the all wheel drive gets around excellent in the snow. Excellent customer service! They took in my car and had my transmission replaced the very next day. I can't say enough for the service I received from Thom and Greg. Not being from the area, they provided transportation to and from hotel. If you find yourself stuck with transmission problems of any sort, this is the place to bring your vehicle. A free diagnostic will be done along with a repair estimate of cost and time. They have technicians whose sole purpose is to remanufacture and completely overhaul transmissions of all makes throughout the day. When complete, these remanufactured transmissions are stress tested and placed on the shelf to maintain a running inventory of stock transmissions. They had a stock transmission on their shelf for my car and I was on the road the very next morning. The repair service at A-Team Transmissions does not stop with transmissions. These guys are extremely knowledgeable with transmissions but they also take care of engine problems. Transmission problems are progressive and can get worse any moment without notice. I witnessed this with my own. If you bring yours in, then they tell you the problem is worse and will cost more, I would not question the integrity of their answer. These guys shoot it straight and give honest answers regardless of how much it may hurt to hear the news.
This shop is the best! I was on an 8 hour trip with my 2001 9-3, hundreds of miles from home, and my engine malfunction light came on. My good fortune is that I was just east of Columbus when this happened, and was lucky enough to contact Ted at The Saab Shop. He was unbelievable - stayed on the phone with me as he patiently directed me through the city of Columbus (like the back of his hand!), around detours and road closures to get me to the shop. He and Nik stayed after hours and gave of their personal time to meet me and make sure there wasn't something seriously wrong with my car. Nik quickly but thoroughly checked my engine, diagnosed and reset everything, determining that I could continue my trip, but that I should have it checked out once I got home. A huge relief for me! He really knew his stuff and I felt totally comfortable with his diagnosis. He listened patiently to my questions and took the time necessary to explain what I needed to know, in addition to logging his observations and actions for my mechanic to review once I was home. I was looking for a vehicle in a specific price range. Additionally, I was looking for something with a little bit of muscle, lower miles and a decent price. I talked with Bob Bricker, sales manager and Dusty Lenz, sales rep. They found a few different options for me and we discussed some different financing plans. My credit isn't horrible, but it isn't perfect, either. When I had finally decided on a car, they called me back and told me about a different vehicle that they had just taken on trade that day. It was a perfect match to what I was looking for. 2005 Dodge Magnum, RT. The vehicle was in great shape, though there were a few things that needed fixed. When I asked them, they worked that into the deal and I still came in almost 2000.00 below KBB on the vehicle. I had one other issue with the car, discovered after having it for 4 days. I called and they had a technician fix it for me...for free. No questions, no haggling, no arguing. I will, without a doubt, purchase many more vehicles from this dealership. They were honest and straightforward and worked with me to ensure I got the very best deal possible. Couldn't be happier with the experience.
A Must try place. I Never wrote any yelp review yet but this place made me write something good about them. I had my lexus Rx300's tailgate was not opening up. I went to 3 different auto repair shop but all of them referred me to go to Lexus dealer and couple of others asked $100 just to investigate.Lexus dealer took $130 to investigate the issue and gave me estimation of $780 to fix that. I just thought to try Maaco as last option as they give free estimation before I gave it to lexus dealer.Shawn was the guy who fixed it without replacing any part and charged me just an hour of labor. He also fixed a small other issue at free of cost.Shawn was very knowledgeable and honest mechanic ever saw. This place definitely deserve appreciation for the amazing work they did for me.I am not sure if everyone has similar experience here that I had but I would suggest to try them once or atleast get estimation from them.
