Here's a little history. My child has been going to Children's World aka Kid's Club since they were six months old. They are nearly 12. Law says that a child under the age of 12 has to be under the care of an adult. Since I live in the sticks, this is one of the only daycare centers that would pick my child up from school. My child has been going there so long they have more seniority than the current owner, that's how long we've been there. I've always paid early whenever possible, but they've never had a problem with me.I am now being currently told that it isn't worth their time to pick my kid up anymore and I have two weeks to make other arrangements. This is by an epitome of incompetence by the name of Tiffany who, as proudly as she boasted her position as being in charge of management of the employees over all centers, is apparently too incompetent to figure out how to float one person for the max of an hour to accommodate a pickup to middle school.Over these long 11 years, I have not bothered to learn the names of about 80-90% of the employees who came through. They were never there long enough. One who found out where I worked went into automatic interview mode and asked if I would put a word in for them at my workplace, they didn't last the summer. The centers themselves are given no autonomy when it comes to how they manage themselves. They talk a big game just before the summer, but every low-cost but fun option the director had set up was almost immediately shot down by the owner.I saw phenomenal teachers leave one after the other.... over .13/hour. 13 CENTS!The CFO drives a flashy BMW though. Every time I've seen her at the center, she looks irritated and terrified she'll get something dirty on her.The owner himself seems nice enough but out of touch with his people. I had to witness a director being let go because one of the people under them was combination brown noser/gossip monger, they stirred up crap just to do it. Nothing I said could stop it.Then there is this Tiffany, the manager who doesn't manage anything, the one who pawns responsibility the centers don't have back on them because she doesn't want to take any herself. The one whose very way of saying "your child" makes you think your child must have knocked off a liquor store and threatened the president. After being told no less than three times what "my child"'s name was, still got it wrong. I don't understand why in the world they keep people in the top ranks who so obviously hate children, while those getting a pittance and making it work and loving our children under their care, get nothing.I hope this place goes under.
I was very happy with the security and teachers in the infant class until my 6 month old came home with a dislocated elbow. The Dr. said that it had…
I would say working here or sending your child here is like meeting the devil yourself. The Jones are rude, self-centered, belligerent individuals. You will work so hard for so little pay. They aren't friendly to employees or the parents who come through this center. It's always work, no days off. No matter what you had to do, I felt like a slave. I never seen a director with whom I had to argue with over my paycheck (never receive full 80 hours) also, never seen one who sends nasty emails because a parent may be short of money. Please avoid this center at all cost, worst one in Columbia.
Excellent Pastors, the word of God is preach and thought at this church. This Ministry as truly blessed my life and my family. If you are looking for a church home, this is it.Constancia Ford
Please don't send your kids here. Teachers change frequently and staff is not certified. I've witnessed numerous occasions where staff didn't wash their hands before cooking. Clogged sinks and toilets. The owner has her favorites being the perfect kids. Your child will always be in the wrong. No one is perfect accept lots of love. YEAH RIGHT Please Please send your kids elsewhere I hate it took me so long.
We had purchased our pool last year. We had a few issues with the liner and eventually it was fixed............about 3 weeks later. Now this year we had started to open the pool for the season. About three days of running the filter and adding the chemicals to get the right balance, the hose blew. So we had not had the pool for a year yet. I went to griffins on atlas road and told them what had happened, and they said sometimes this happens, the hose could not have been faulty, and it was going to be replaced for free. So that was great. But then after finding out they gave me the wrong hose, I returned to the store and all of a sudden it was a whole different story. The woman said after I left she called her manager over the hose and he said it was thru our neglect that the hose broke and it would not be free and the new hose was 54.00. So as long as the hose we needed was about 8 dollars..........it was free and under warranty...but when it was a different hose and more expensive it was no longer covered.......WOW!!!!! Will not be going there for anything in the future. And if you are looking for good customer service after spending almost 4000.00 you are looking to the wrong place.....................I had to give it one star or I could not post this......I was going to give it no star at all
The owner refuses to have the carpets cleaned and refuses to fix her playground equipment. We loved the teachers, but we refuse to stay at a daycare that won't keep the environment safe and clean for the children.
