This isn't a bank, it is a federal credit union, which is backed by the federal government and offers all of the same services as a bank. The difference is it is owned by the members. This means your money goes towards the success of your business. The staff there are fabulous. They are happy, friendly and eager to serve you with all of your banking and investment needs. So if your tired of banks, go to Palmetto Citizens Federal Credit Union. You won't regret it.
Poor customer services. What kind of a loan officer would not respond to emails? Do not go there. I have had very disappointing experiences with the Rosewood Branch in Columbia, SC. The loan officer, Anthony Voci does not know his job.
BEWAREWARNING: First Citizens Bank notified me today that if I do business with a company and that company uses my card with fake charges I cannot file a charge back.REASON: Because I did business with the company in the past. It does not matter if they screwed me over.RESULT: First Citizen says you will not be protected due to a company scamming you if you paid them. Poor protection. This bank consistently turns down low rate loans and credit cards using fictitious credit scores as an excuse. They tell customers their credit score is too low to qualify for the low rates sent out in the promotional flyers and emails. I used the same service as they did to get my credit report to apply for a car loan and they claimed my credit score was much lower than it actually was. This has happened twice. Even after I sent them the PDF of my report I got that same day they refused to give me the rate I qualified for.
This place sucks and they are very racist. You only see white tellers with bleach blonde hair behind the teller line and they are very rude. The manager seems to not care about anyone. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. They treat ppl as if they don't value their customers. RUN AWAY AVOID THIS BANK.
Cynthia in the collections department is the unfriendliest most understanding person I have ever dealt with in my life.. I had a loan for 16,000 dollars and only owe 3,000 dollars. My father whom passed away last years was helping me with my car payment and now he has passes away I am dealing with his bills until his house sells and my bills. I have paid 1,000 dollars a couple times which you would think it would go towards the next couple months of payments in which it did not. So I am behind and told her what I was dealing with my hours got cut back at work beacuse the economy is so bad and she said that sounds like a personal problem. A PERSONAL PROBLEM THAT MY FATHER PASSED AWAY?? HOW RUDE AND UNCONSIDERATE OF HER. I WISH NOTHING BUT THE WORST FOR HER AND PRAY TO GOD SHE IS IN MY SITUATION ONE DAY. I have paid them everytime I get a check to try and pay my balance off. I have also asked the company to please put a different agent on my case because of the way she has belittled me and harrassed me, It is one thing to call and try to collect the money but it is a whole nother problem when the agent is rude and canstantly threatening to take my car away thatI only owe 3,000 dollars on out of 16,000 dolars and let me remind you that before my father passed away this car payment was NEVER LATE. So for someone to be as rude and unpleasant as she is really botherws me! I advise no one to ever get a loan with this credit union. Not only are the unfriendly they are VERY inconvient they do not acept debit cards for a payment they only take checks or western union which to western union the payment is nearly 12 dollars. How do you claim to be a bank and a credit union if you do not accept debit or credit cards and any which way a customer sends money they end up paying some sort of fee. Who even still uses checks now a days? With that being said I will never in my life give this credit union my time nor business! And I pray that this place gets shut down immediately due to the way they treat the customers during a hardship! As I said before my payment has not been late in 4 years and this year I have dealt with my father passing away and they have done nothing to make the situation better. My car is the only thing I have left of a memory of my father and for someone to threaten me and tell me it is a personal problem that my father pased away is unbelieveable! NEVER EVER get a loan with this company because in life you never know when something may happen and you get bhind on bills this is definitely not the place to deal with during a hard time because the do not care if you are going through a hardship they will come pick your car up it does not matter if you only owe a few hundred dollars and are on your death bed.. unlike most companies that will work with you and let you set up a payment plan or let you defer your payments until you get your money together. I will also be posting something in the rants and raves about the way I was treated by Cynthis in the collections department!!!! She does not deserve to keep her job, and vlike I sadi I pray one day she goes through a hardtime like me and cant afford to pay her bills I would love to be a fly on the wall when that happens.. it seems she gets off on hurting peoples feelings and making their lives miserable!
During an extreme financial hardship after three years with a real estate loan from First Citizens, I called First Citizens for help. They "helped" by trying to get me to switch all my savings/checking/retirement accounts, although small, to their bank....they even set up the appointment the same week, how nice of them. I caught on to what they were after, luckily. After struggling to pay I called them a few months later and told them I could not pay the loan any more with a layoff and medical bills piling up I needed advice. The local office person said there was "nothing we can do to help" no advice whatsoever. After advice from a lawyer, we stopped paying on the loan to support our family and make our house payment. First Citizens Bank has now hit us with a deficiency judgment for a amount that we do not have. My lawyer said that they did not have to do the deficiency judgment and that they "screwed us good", his exact words. We are just trying to survive in this economy, our credit has ALWAYS been excellent until the layoff, no one saw this coming. Me, my children and family will never do business with First Citizens again.....everything was only to their advantage, I feel they turned their back on us. Their loss of business will be far more than the small amount of money they will ever get from us.
