My previous Seamstress relocated after 5 years. I went to 3 other people over the past year and each time my clothes looked like a beginner Seamstress with little experience had completed the work or my clothes were not completed as I had requested. Mind you now, each Seamstress had me to undress, try on the clothes, clothes were pinned by the Seamstress or marked with a white chalk marker.....but each time, my clothes were not professionally finished as we had discussed. This time I went on-line and googled for a Seamstress who does alterations well. I saw that Columbia Alterations had 5 Stars (*****) and the remarks were very nice. So I sought the business out. I took a skirt and a pair of pants (which someone else had taken out too much in length) to be altered for me. I picked up my items and I must say that I am so well pleased. My clothes are very professionally sewed. She takes much pride in her work and the price is very reasonable as well. I am truly satisfied that I have finally found a place to have my alterations done, as I have lost weight and have dropped from a size 14 to a 12. If you need a good Seamstress, who knows how to do professional alterations then look no further. Columbia Alterations is the place to go!
I've used Columbia Alterations for several years now! She was recommended by a reputable Columbia men's clothier. I've never had a complaint. She is always prompt! I've never had a re-do! It's like finding that excellent barber, where you sit in the chair and He/she know what to do! They know what you like and how you like it! I recommend this business for all your alteration needs!
Excellent service! i was very pleased with the work that was done on my granddaughters maxi dress. we were in a hurry due to a trip she had to take and the dress was done on the day that they said it would be done. i am more than pleased
I have taken my suits here to be altered and the owner has been always quick and efficient. I would recommend Columbia Alterations.
The lady has a very nasty attitude and refused to help me. She's going to be the downfall of that business if her attitude doesn't improve.
Great work always take my stuff here. Its hard to find someone that really understands military uniforms.
This place is a joke! I put my clothes I'm this cleaners with an understanding that they would be ready the very next day. I go to pick up my clothes and NONE of them are ready!!!! I'm supposed to be gone out of town already so this has thrown my trip completely off! The owner Neil and manager Deborah are so nonchalant and about this situation and I at the point of tears. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CLEANERS!!! They don't meet deadlines, they don't clean the clothes properly, and the management is a joke! BEWARE!!
Great service! I was able to have the right uniform because they were able to expedite my uniforms. All alterations were made correctly.
Awesome service!!!! This is an awesome business. The owner is always polite and very helpful. I highly recommend this cleaners
**STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE**I read reviews on this establishment, and had high hopes. I brought my satin wedding dress there to have a bustle added, corset back added, and to have it hemmed. I came back 3 weeks after initially dropping my BRAND NEW DRESS off to find pin pin holes and snags in the satin material on the train. The bustle eye hooks were a steel gray color and were very visible. They were not even hidden in a seam, and was told by an employee that "she didn't know why it was done that way". Three visits later with promises that the dress would be fixed- I undo the bustle and find blue stains on the train from them trying to press/steam the snags out. I demanded a full refund from what I had already paid and a refund for the dress itself. I go to pick up my dress and refund to learn that they keep the dress "because it's their policy and tee dress still has value, and they need to ensure their seamstress gets paid." Not to mention the wedding is in 30 days.
