I've been coming to Khadija for years. My hair was too short but she was able to grab it, since that day my hair keep growing long and healthy. I'm so pleased with her good job, I always leave the shop very satisfy and I referred my family and friends to her and her well trained braiders.I will recommend the shop to anyone who is looking for professional work and neat environment.
If the owner will do this to a 15 plus year client, who she claimed was a friend, what will happen to you?? - the worse!I do not write reviews, but this one is a must!My girlfriend got her hair crochet braided. It was pretty except for about a week her head was hurting really bad. She contacted Kadjia, the owner, who she has known for I think 15 years or more the next day and told her. Kadjia told her to spray oil sheen to loosen the braids and it is normal to be a little tight. It was hurting her so bad that she debated about taking them out but it was too sore to even touch. She literally left work early a few times that week and use cold packs on her head because of headaches. The pain eventually got better.A few weeks later she decided to take them out to get micro braids. When she took her braids out, she had a deep wound that was infected on her scalp. The braider cut her with the crochet needle. IT WAS A HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, INFECTION.....I WANTED TO THROW UP when I saw the pictures!!! It formed a scab and was a greenish-yellow. She had a bald spot and hair breakage near the infection. She went to urgent care and the doctor (who was an African) said the braids were too tight and the braider cut my girlfriend's scalp. She was prescribed an antibiotic cream to use to fight the infection and to prevent MRSA. If you never heard of this type of infection - Google it - IT CAN KILL YOU!!!Kadjia, seemed concerned at first; then she denied that it could have even happened because she was watching the braider (from across the room mind you) and didn't see her do anything wrong and in all her years of braiding she's never seem this before. It's a first time for everything Kadjia. You could tell from the picture it was an old cut because a scab was there. Plus she called Kadjia the next day and told her, her head was hurting. On top of that she even called her the next day to tell her the same but got the same response -spray it -UNBELIEVABLE...My girlfriend has been very upset and cried when she saw her head. Imagine if she kept the braids in longer. She would have wind up in the hospital because the infection would have continued to grow. Now she has to wear a wig because she has to wait until the infection completely heals and her hair grows back. The hair stylist that made the wig saw the pictures and told her she should sue. When she went there to install the wig, the stylist was in disbelief. I met her at Kristie's to give her support and see the wig. The wig is gorgeous but my girlfriend is still emotional because of this experience, concerned about the infection and fearful that her hair wouldn't grow back. It was upsetting to me because that's my girl and we all know our hair is our crown! From what I was told, Kadjia claims her liability insurance expired and is denying it could have happened. She had the nerve to tell my girlfriend she would go to the doctors with her for a second option. Since when do business owners go to the doctors with their customers???? How insulting!! My girlfriend has seen her primary care doctor who confirmed it is in fact an infection from a cut.Why put your so called friend and longtime customer through this!! It's bad enough she got an infection, has a bald spot, hopes it grows back and has to wear a wig; now she has to potentially sue to get reimbursed. How unfair, unethical and just out right fowl!Accept responsibility and do right by your customers. Accident happen, that's why business owners are required to carry insurance.God said He will make your enemies your footstool. Be careful who you call friendand where you get your hair done! Not all people and places are what they seem!!See above picture - this is what she sent me and it looks like!
Great work and excellent service. I've been getting my hair done now for almost two years now and my hair has grown due to the variety of braiding hairstyles. She stays up to date on all the latest braiding styles and my hair lasts for months!
