I think the five-star reviews of this place must have been written by the employees to trick people into thinking this was a classy establishment. While its not terrible, it's certainly not what I look for in a nail salon and definitely not worth the price. I was looking for a place closer to home since I live in fountain, and found this one in YP with seemingly great reviews. When I walked in the door, my immediate thought was that the place was tiny, cramped, and dirty-looking. All the posters in the windows are years old and faded, the windows themselves are dirty, the floor was dirty, the techs' tables were cluttered with crap...to make it worse, even though I was the only one there, they employees were all just lounging around watching a movie (one was even sleeping, and remained asleep in a pedicure chair the whole time I was there!) and didn't bother to get up and greet me. They just asked what I wanted. I said gel polish, which was listed as $20 on the price sheet by the door. I thought ok, even if the service isn't great, that's ten bucks cheaper than what I usually pay for it. Still kind of grossed out by the look of the place, I go sit down with my tech. While my nails look fine, they certainly don't pamper you here or give you the quality of service that other salons do. He didn't soak my cuticles or even bother to trim them (and I have horrible cuticles), he just dove right in with the file and grinder. I should also mention, there is NO SINK in this place! So you can't wash your hands, they just blow the nail dust off with a can of air. I'm glad he didn't trim my cuticles because his tools were in a plastic pencil box and had been used on who knows how many people without being cleaned (the salon I normally go to, Skyline Nails, charges you $1 but they open a fresh, sanitary pack of tools for every person, which I love). He kept giving me crap about my color choice (if I want black, don't harass me or keep asking me why I want black). When he was done, he did massage my hands with lotion, and then charged me $30 ($10 more than the price listed on the sign). I didn't bother to ask about it because a) that's the same price I pay elsewhere, so no real loss I guess and b) I kind of just wanted to leave. I was wholly unimpressed with this place and will not be going back. The only nice thing they do is give you a punch card that entitles you to some money off after ten visits, but I have no desire to go back there one more time, let alone ten.

I have to admit. Without the Groupon deal that promoted this spa, I probably would never have discovered it. Now, keep in mind that it's named Spa Petite for a reason. It's small. It doesn't have any of the fancy amenities that you might associate with a spa. Really, there's a massage room, a facial room, a small main reception, and a small bathroom. But what it DOES have that I've found many of the larger, more expensive places don't is amazing, talented people, who really love what they do. I was lucky enough to get both a deep tissue hot stone massage from Diane as well as a custom blended facial from Sherri. Now, I've had a LOT of massages and quite a few facials in my lifetime. I tend to use Groupon, Living Social, Ever Save, etc. deals to try out various therapists and estheticians because I'm pretty particular and have a hard time finding a good fit. I was completelly blown away at the quality of service I received at Spa Petite. Diane hit all the right places to work out the knots, wasn't afraid to go as deep as I'd liked, yet never once "missed" and went over bone, even when doing elbow work. That is highly unusual in my experience. Sherri not only managed to give me a wonderful, healthy glow, she also stemmed the development of a very large zit. You know, the one where you think "oh boy, that one is going to be a doozy and it just HAS to be right smack in the middle of my chin." In addition, I didn't suffer any further breakouts or redness like I sometimes do when I get a facial. She was also incredibly gentle during extractions. I cannot say enough good things about the quality of service at Spa Petite. I have discovered my little slice of heaven in Colorado Springs (and given that it's the home of Garden of the Gods, that says a lot!).
FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH SKIN CARE, by TinaI... I have just returned from a wonderful Colorado vacation. We decided to skip some of the mountain-town casinos and focus on Mother Nature and the awesome outdoors. Since I had a little extra money to blow I decided to treat myself to a facial. I googled skin care in Colorado Springs and Fountain of Youth Skin Care by Tina popped up. It was my understanding from my friends living in "The Springs" that this is one of the more reputable salons so I was especially grateful when Tina was able to accommodate my request for service. Upon arrival I learned of a new service she was offering called MicroPhototherapy. Ideally, you should purchase a package but the idea itntriqued me so much that I decided to skip the facial so I could try one treatment. OMG, I am now back in Phoenix but I can see the results from only treatment. I just turned 59 but look 40... I wish I could have stayed for 4 weeks to be able to have all 8 treatments. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Unfortunately, I will need to find a place in Phoenix that offers this amazing service. Then, next year when I return for my annual trip to "The Springs", I will get the facial. So happy I found you, Tina. Thank you!!!
After receiving a terrible haircut and color job for well over $200 at one of the most expensive, overly franchised salons in Colorado Springs, I was mortified and I was in desperate need of a color correction and fix for my cut. I frantically did an internet search for any other salon that seemed reputable, and I'm so relieved that I found Styles Salon. I saw Stephanie, and she got me in right away. She took her time to analyze what the previous stylist had screwed up, asked me plenty of questions about my hair and how I style it, and really took her time to come up with a plan to fix my hair. I was so happy with Stephanie's knowledge, patience, professionalism and attention to detail. I felt safe in her hands. She fixed the botched haircut- it's super cute! And the color is worlds better than it was when I walked in. I'm so glad I've found a stylist in the Springs that I can count on to do a great job. I highly recommend this salon. Everyone there seemed knowledgeable, patient, attentive, and professional, and their prices are reasonable for a job well done.
When I showed up for my Brazilian I was told by the receptionist that the woman I was seeing was the fastest on staff. At first I was excited, I mean who wants to sit there for half an hour to an hour exposed and in pain right? Well speed isn't everything. As someone who has gotten this treatment done every few months since I was a teenager I can say I have NEVER had one that was that painful. But I figured hey, a little pain for a fifteen minute wax, fine. Until I got home and realized that I wasn't even clean, she didn't take any time to make sure she got all the hair, AND I have extremely painful red marks on the inside which is where you have to take the most care (hello thousands of nerve endings in there). Like I said I do this all the time so it's not an allergic reaction or a low pain tolerance. It was shoddy work. I will not be returning here.
They are great! They have great customer service and their work is top notch. I use the Gel for my nails and they last for at least 3+ weeks. It is a down to earth place where you feel welcome to come. The service is fast, they are even entertaining with music and comedy. I have been to the stuck up joint Amy's and will never go back. I also used to go to Nail's First and had Jenny but I always had to make an appointment with her. There are times when I just want to walk in, get my nails done and be out. I recommend Trendzy Nails and I will remain a loyal customer. Speaking of Loyal, they have a punch card called the Loyal Card so after 10 punches you get 10 bucks off. Awesome. Genise
My husband has been going to Mona for years. My stylist retired and I went all over town on everyone's suggestion as to who was the best. I finally tried Mona at my husbands 100th request. I wish I would have listened way sooner!!! Mona is excellent! She listens, explains what and why she would do a cut and then asks if it's what I wan . She is an expert with the scissors and fun to talk with. She remembers you each time. I reccomend Mona and Cost Cutters imperically! Plus the coupons are a bonus!
Dabney I am delighted to be a patient and have stellar treatment from Dr. Gulla and Dr. Bessler. The staff has been extremely positive, kind, funny, and very helpful in my healing.... Awesome professionalism. I Recommend this treatment to anyone remotely suspecting a concussion. I was seen exceptionally fast and began many facets of My healing and feeling totally different since my accident. Thank you and your staff for a positive role in finding positive quality of life again... Wow!
I initially purchased a living social deal and received a pre-natal massage. I have since returned for monthly pre-natal massages. Toni is excellent! These are hour massages, but she never skimps on time - in fact, my last massage was an hour and a half at the same cost. She takes her time, and I always leave feeling relaxed. I highly recommend her to any pregnant women wanting relief from back pain (that's the main reason I sought out a pre-natal massage).
This was a nice salon and very clean. The reason I gave it 3 stars was because of the technician who did my nails. I believe his name is Tom and I think either he does not have a lot of experience doing pink and white nails or perhaps he was nervous but I like to wear my nails very short and he cut 4 of my fingers underneath the nail. This was pretty painful for about 5 days after getting my nails done. I will try this place again but I will not go to Tom again.
