Located in Colorado Springs, Colo., Palmer High School is a college preparatory school that offers the International Baccalaureate diploma program, and various honors and advanced placement courses. It offers an academic curriculum that includes art, industrial technology, consumer and family science, mathematics, music, digital media studies, physical education, English, science, social studies and world languages. It also offers a night school evening program and provides a variety of facilities, such as a library, laboratories and counseling center. The school s library has a multimedia laboratory, various reference materials and a collection of more than 18,000 volumes. Its athletic programs include football, volleyball, cross country, softball, tennis, golf, soccer, basketball, swimming, hockey and wrestling. The high school was founded in 1871 and is operated by the Colorado Springs School District.
