Didn't even introduce himself to husband just said you want me to break your water I said no I wanted birth to be natural appearing irritated left Came back later asked to break my water my husband asked why mom & baby are fine His response was to make everything quicker then proceeded to ask my husband what he did for a living and if he would like to deliver the baby They argued my husband told him to come into the hallway with him as not to upset me He continued to be an unethical jerk He came back apologizing he had a busy day ahead of him he was tired and he's really not like this at which point we told him his services were no longer needed Dr Ryan was great & delivered my healthy baby Dr Russell had the nerve to come to our room after delivery and apologize again and ask if he could do my 6 week f/u and discharge paperwork so it wouldn't be weird with his partners if you are planning on a natural birth or want a physician that cares about his patients I do not recommend this man

Dr. Russell is a very condescending man. I'm a younger woman who, at the time of my appointment, was engaged and couldn't conceive. Dr. Russell told me I "should be married before having kids", then proceeded to give me an exam for extreme pelvic pain before deciding, without the help of an ultrasound or surgery, that I was fine and I needed physical and psychotherapy. He also gave me no pain medication for my excruciating pelvic pain and a low dose of lidocaine that didn't even work. I got a second opinion that resulted in surgery because of a cavity defect Dr. Russell decided he was too smart to catch. If you're going to this provider for any type of pain or infertility, you might want to consider someone else.

I found out very recently that I am pregnant for the first time- still very early in my pregnancy. I am so excited! However, the staff at Front Range did not even smile about it. I felt very apprehensive going into the office for the first time, as I have never been to an OBGYN. I was not greeted when I came in. The woman who did my exam did not tell me her name, she did not congratulate me and she did not waste time telling me about possible birth defects all first pregnancies can have and even asked out of the blue if I was going to breastfeed. It wasn't connected to anything else. I told her again that it is my first pregnancy and I haven't really thought of any of this before. For my ultrasound she stood in my way and I couldn't see the screen for part of the time. She was telling me some medical jargon I didn't understand, which made me nervous, and then she would say "but you're definitely pregnant..." (Yes and you are scaring me out of my mind! What does that mean?) She also did not KNOCK before coming in the room both before and after I changed clothes. She did not tell me I could leave from the appointment as she walked out of the room, so I awkwardly started walking out, looked back at them several times, asked the front desk if I could leave and they said yes. The staff called within an hour and told me they forgot to give me paperwork I needed. I will not be going back. What a truly AWKWARD experience- I am sure that the main Doctors who work there are incredible, so I do not mean to bash them. But the staff I encountered needs to work on their bedside manner, especially with first time/ timid Moms.

I went in to see Dr. Russell in April and was amazed that I had finally found a fantastic doctor. I had miscarried and he was comforting and assured me if I were to become pregnant again I could call and ask for a sooner appointment and would be assisted before 9 weeks. I had called over 2 weeks ago to schedule and appointment and they set my appointment for 8 weeks and I was kind of upset but I understand that they are busy and that was the soonest. However today I received a call saying that my appointment has been cancelled due to a family emergency, I completely understand life happens and was more than ok with that. However they wanted to set my appointment out another week. When I had told the receptionist that I would prefer to get in sooner because I had misscarried and Dr Russell stated that that would be all I had to do to get in, she immediately put me on hold. A VERY RUDE lady named Renee got on the line almost yelling at me. She told me I need to understand that family emergencies happen. Which I'm pretty sure I said I did? She then told me that ok fine we will reschedule you for Thursday since this is such an emergency for you. Umh? Yes it is the well-being of my baby is my number one priority. However, I just started a new job and can't take off during my 90 days. I explained that to her very calmly. She then BLEW MY MIND WITH IGNORANCE. She stated to me if its that important to you you will come in. Remember from here on out it isn't just about you. Excuse me? What in the world gives that hateful woman the right to work there and pretty much "parent" the patients. I will be more than happy to tell everyone that going here is a terrible mistake at the end of this call I was in tears. Maybe the hormones but none-the-less. You don't treat clients like that. Let alone at a place you pay top dollar to go to. Hence why I chose this dr. Well I will NEVER go there and NEVER say a good word about this terrible staff

Bad bad bad staff

Called trying to get an appointment to be seen they told me I can't come because I didn't have chp+ or medicade, I told them I would be ok with self pay. Scheduled app only for a month later and I'm high risk pregnancy even after I told them also that I have symptoms of UTI. 5 min later another staff person calls and tells me that they have to cancel my appointment because I don't have chp+ or medicade # they can't see me or treat me even when talking to First Lady I said I was fine with self pay:.... Patient right is they still have to treat that patient... I'm so upset and going to take legal action no patient should be denied care if they are waiting for medicade

I chose Dr. Russell to be my O...

I chose Dr. Russell to be my OB after I found out I was pregnant. My mother recommended him to me. After my first visit I knew he was the Doctor for me! Not only is he a fantastic Doctor who truly listens and cares but his staff is just as great! Dr. Russell delivered my first born son in May of 2010, and I look forward to having him deliver my second one day. :) He is truly an amazing Doctor! I have recommended him to two people in which they both use him now for their pregnancy.

I agree with the other lady....

One of the best things about Dr. Russell is that he listens. No one listens anymore. They just want to yank your uterus out. I would recommend him to ANYONE!!

Great experience!

This is a small practice that feels like what I imagine a medical practice felt like years ago. Dr. Russell listened to everything I said; I never felt like he was in a hurry to get me out the door. His staff was awesome...so friendly!

Amazing!

I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Russell after my previous doctor refused to truly listen to what was going on with me. The minute I walked through the doors of Dr. Russell's office, I was greated with smiles. His entire staff was SO amazing! They even took time out of their day to sit with my children while I was getting my exam done. Dr. Russell answered all of my concerns, and he truly understood how I was feeling. He actually took the time to go over my history with me, and listen to me. He is an amazing doctor, and his staff is just as amazing. I will recommend Dr, Russell to every woman I know.
